Skins Sign Some More players I've Never Heard of...
In addition to Rayner and Dorsey, the Skins added several more players (reserve/future contracts) to the roster at the end of last week:
WR Marques Hagans, P Zac Atterberry, LS Jeremy Cain, FB Jonathan Evans, CB Michael Grant, OL Rueben Riley, OL Isaiah Ross, and LB Tyson Smith.
Marques Hagans was originally drafted by the Rams in the 5th round out of UVA in 2006 and has also spent some time with the Chiefs and Colts (practice squad). With how our WRs showed up to camp last year, I would say he has a shot!
Rueben Riley (Tackle) has some upside since he has speed:
Height: 6-3 Weight: 305 Age: 24
Born: 9/20/1984
College: Michigan
Zac Atterberry punted at Lindenwood University where he graduated in 2008. Where?!?!? Yea, the Lindenwood Lions in Missouri. He was waived by the Chicago Bears last year. Looks like you got some competition muffin top!
Isiah Ross is a Guard who graduated from Nevada and has been on the practice squad for the Skins before. The 6'3 320 pounder has been on the Vikings and Saints practice squads as well, and he been earning some paychecks in the now defunct Arena League.
In 2008, Ross was a member of the New Orleans Voodoo, where, in addition to his blocking duties, he made 14 receptions for 140 yards and five touchdowns. He was a member of the Nashville Kats in 2007, where he caught five passes for 50 yards.
So it sounds like these signings won't have any impact for the 2009 final roster. It's good to see we've added another WR weapon though with a Guard that can run routes.

No impact but last week?
I realize we are all having fun, with time flying and this week appears the same as next week which was just what occured last week…however
According to the “”http://www.redskins.com/team/transactionList.jsp" >Official Redskin Website"
The “fodder” picked up was not last week, but Jan 05 and 06. They are playing on a NFL team, and many teams have found “diamonds in the rough” so you never know and can only hope the pass catching OL becomes the next “great OL”
Hail!

HMMM
Sorta, the Kicker and KR specialist was hired in Feb. but the others:
Wednesday’s moves followed the January signings of former Chicago and Tennessee long snapper Jeremy Cain and punter Zac Atterberry, who attended camp with the Bears last summer as a rookie from NAIA school Lindenwood
Appears to be a Jan. signing…not that it matters….Last year they signed a similar group of “potential players” how many made the squad?

Wouldn't Alex Buzbee sorta fall into this category?

I'm sorry.
I just can’t keep a straight face everytime I see this title.
