Philip Daniels going to free agency?
damn. What an awful defensive line we have.
rockin' the crab dribble since 2009
Not if
we sign Haynesworth…

Lessons...
I think we learned our lesson w/ over-paying. Snyder most likely was getting a feel for how much it would cost to get him $ when he met with Painworth’s agent. I’d be shocked if we dropped a huge pile of cash figuring he’s never played a full-season the last 6 years and all his off-field issues.

Any other year, I'd agree...
but Haynesworth would instantly shore up our D-line, give us credibility in the trenches, and clear up the lanes for Carter and/or Taylor to wreak some havoc. Most importantly, the possibility of the salary cap disappearing has to have Danny positively salivating… it’s not necessarily such an awful thing to overpay for guys. (Minus the whole issue of depth, which probably isn’t an issue at all without a salary cap) Just be sure to overpay for guys your football people say to overpay for, not your fantasy league commissioner.

meh
each year that we manage to beat cap trouble and sign guys to big contracts (which has been pretty much every year this decade except last) i care less and less about overpaying, especially with the prospect of the cap disappearing
Are we at all interested in Harrison ...
with the news of Kelly having surgery (again), don’t we need another threat??

Harrison IS
an old, over-the-hill free agent…
No. We do NOT want Harrison. (IMHO)

Totally agree
Harrison as a Skin will remind me too much of the David Patten era.

My question is ...
does he still command any respect from the D?? If he does, he could at least be a decent distraction so Moss doesn’t get double/triple teamed. Also, if he can mentor these young draft picks, maybe they will develop better.
Harrison had a much higher peak than Patten, so getting a quality vet is better than Patten ever was, imho.
Then again, I don’t know what he would be asking (probably too much), nor that Snyder would be willing to shell out for a big name past his prime (again, probably too much).
