T.O. WILL NEVER be a Redskin
Rotoworld.com recently posted an article of likely suitors for Terrell Owens, and the author, Gregg Rosenthal, has the Redskins as #3 on that list below the Ravens and Redskins? HUH?!?!
3. Redskins: The Fighting Cerratos don’t really have the cap room, but they have to be near the top of the list of teams crazy enough to do it. Dan Snyder also invested three picks at receiver in the 2008 draft, with initially poor results. Owens would fix the position quickly and amp up Washington’s NFC East rivalries.
Gregg, buddy, you need to do your homework. I assume you live on the West coast but you've mistaken the 2001 Redskins front office with the current one. Your arguments in fact are the reasons we would never acquire TO:
- We don't have the cap space.
- We invested 3 picks in the receiver position.

"Redskin Blog" had a great article on this
I enjoy reading the “The official Washington Redskins Blog”, one recent article got it very right when it comes to anyone outside picking a place a Free Agent might end up or a player like TO looking again for a new home. This is a simple case of wanting to end the story and be done, hey it sounds cool to name the Redskins. And I’ll get more hits and more traffic….Lazy, sorta like the insiders reporting or maybe it’s just no contacts.
An easy way to predict Free Agent Destinations
It doesn’t really matter how often you’re right or spectacularly wrong, so long as your predictions have the indefinable air of believability
OR you can just point to the Redskins, maybe mention some lousy decisions from almost ten years ago, and head out to the mall to get your shopping done.
Quick correction...
“Rotoworld.com recently posted an article of likely suitors for Terrell Owens, and the author, Gregg Rosenthal, has the Redskins as #3 on that list below the Ravens and Redskins? HUH?!?!”
Redskins is number 3 below the Raiders and the Ravens.
I think the guy just had the list of teams scrolled down to R. Otherwise it makes very little sense.

Ah
Thanks, yea, good catch. As bad as our front office has been, it shows we’ve learned from those mistakes, and because of that, I’ll always take offense when they’re compared to the Raiders.

This post
made me miss Joe Gibbs — with all his “true Redskin” talk that you always KNEW was heartfelt.
In time, the Zorn Star may join that club, but he needs some more time with the maroon and black first.
