Forbes.com recently posted their rankings for the best cities to live in. DC finished 5th for Singles, and 7th in Culture. The odd thing I find is that Philly finished HIGHER than DC in culture. huh?

Since I know not everyone who reads this blog resides in DC, let's do a quick roll call and have everyone chime in with where they're reading from.

Nice

I own some property off Lake Lure in Rutherfordton. I love NC.

Nicer...

Lived in Rutherfordton 7 years and spent almost every summer weekend at Lake Lure. Land Prices were out of this world a couple of years ago, now they are slowing down…All Manufacturing is about gone from Rutherford County, it’s trying to become a retirement community with “upscale” Lake Lure resort area.

Not nicer..

yea, i bought at the worst time…I thought NC was invincible, which was true until the Banks on Wall Street collapsed faster than our Offensive line. It’ll come back tho…but yea, i bought in a new dev’t so the most I can do is look at a picture of my trees until they put the roads in…which they’re saying is 2012.

Danny Wuerffel...

I think moved to and lives in small cave in Burma, so if he can logon to this site to confirm that, we might be able to crown a new champion.
