List of

inactives: QB3 Bartell, 20 Tryon, 23 DHall, 26 Portis, 50 Edwin Williams, 55 Bowen, 69 Fanaika, 97 Wynn. Smoot starts for Hall.

Please o-line give Campbell a chane!

I'm worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only one case left- Barney Gumble

by CptChaosSidekick on Dec 6, 2009 11:57 AM EST via mobile reply actions

I didn't know

Tryon was that bad. Sucks. He’s one of the young’uns I was looking forward to seeing.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:02 PM EST reply actions

longer cleats =

better chance for knee injuries. Hopefully to their guys, not ours.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:03 PM EST reply actions

THAT'S

why you let it fly!!!

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:11 PM EST reply actions

are we

playing for the field goal ALREADY??

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:13 PM EST reply actions

nah man

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:14 PM EST reply actions

We're actually

Using Thomas as a receiver? WOW!

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:14 PM EST reply actions

Is it just me or....

did Greg Williams turn into a fat ass? Looks like one of the Ryan clan now!!!!

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 1:17 PM EST reply actions

down there

you just have to throw it up and let the tall guy make the play.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:18 PM EST reply actions

usually I'm all for that

but not with darren sharper back there

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:20 PM EST up reply actions

what do we

have to lose? It’s time we start making NFL plays. Let our guys make a name for themselves.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:21 PM EST up reply actions

true that

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:23 PM EST up reply actions

YES

we did. OH what a feeling.

BTW – I’m not knocking what they did there, I just want to see them utilize the height advantage they have now.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:23 PM EST up reply actions

I understand and agree....

but maybe they see something in practivce in regards to that they don’t like yet! But as you said….what do we have to lose!

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 1:28 PM EST up reply actions

DAVIS!!!

Touchdown machine!!!!!

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:19 PM EST reply actions

it feels good

but at the same time, it pisses me off because I don’t understand why we couldn’t do it at the beginning of the year

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:24 PM EST up reply actions

isn't it ironic

that the BETTER the offense looks, the WORSE Zorn looks?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:24 PM EST up reply actions

score here

and we may surprise today guy

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:26 PM EST reply actions

oh man

i think sherm put the team on “the jucie” this week

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:26 PM EST reply actions

GOOD D!!

They’re playing inspired thus far. Which isn’t surprising, but is always nice to see.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:26 PM EST reply actions

wasn't it Moore

who did that last time? When we lost the punt?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:27 PM EST reply actions

no i

think it was westbrook who got pushed in ARE the last time

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 1:28 PM EST reply actions

yeah, you're right

but why don’t they KNOW to stay away now?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:30 PM EST up reply actions

Ganther

I haven’t seen those moves here since Portis’ first year

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:31 PM EST reply actions

well, got that outta the way early

wouldn’t be a Skins game without a Campbell overthrow to Moss

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:31 PM EST reply actions

in his defense

there was a LB about to massacre him on the hurry up

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:32 PM EST up reply actions

trust me

I’m not knocking him on it. I’ve come to accept that it’s gonna happen every game

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:33 PM EST up reply actions

Hopefully

It’s his first and last overthrow.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:32 PM EST up reply actions

Davis

the Sleepy Bulldozer

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:32 PM EST reply actions

It would still be hard to...

get rid of the teams fan favorite!!! I would like to see them on the field together myself….and would kill me to see Cooley in any other uniform!

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 1:37 PM EST up reply actions

Davis

Is becoming really difficult to bring down, just like a real TE should be.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:33 PM EST reply actions

damn

7 there woulda been REAL nice

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:35 PM EST reply actions

Yep

would have been very nice to get 7 there

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 1:36 PM EST reply actions

any chance

we can get through this game without piling on Campbell? He’s looking pretty good right now.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:36 PM EST reply actions

i just hope the team doesn't become complacent

that was a really nice drive, but they need 7

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:36 PM EST reply actions

Landry

needs to sto talking and start playing

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:38 PM EST reply actions

welcome to all of 2009 with him......

I think Landry may be my personal biggest disappointment of the year individually!

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 1:41 PM EST up reply actions

yeah

I’d probably agree. His MOUTH knows how talented he is, but his play doesn’t

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:43 PM EST up reply actions

he needs to sit down and watch.....

every game from ST21 and see what he is representing out there!!!!

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 1:43 PM EST up reply actions

wow

Barnes?? really

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:40 PM EST reply actions

he was tryin for the green puke hit

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:41 PM EST reply actions

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 1:44 PM EST up reply actions

are the perfect couple. Ain’t that sweet

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:46 PM EST up reply actions

I have a split stream....

so I always aim the strongest into the toilet and clean up the rest when I am done…..haha….couldn’t resist

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 1:46 PM EST up reply actions

there you go

that’s how you’re SUPPOSED to hit. You can catch it if you want to, but you’re gonna catch a LOT more than the ball

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:44 PM EST reply actions

Hopefully

That hit stays on the Saints’ minds, especially their receivers.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:46 PM EST up reply actions

Brees is heating up

we need to cool him down quick

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:51 PM EST reply actions

not today Brees

not today

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 1:51 PM EST reply actions

holy shit

good rush AND good coverage. Against the best Red Zone offense in the league…………… .. Oh what could have been

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:52 PM EST reply actions

I don't think

We give our defense enough credit for what it accomplishes. Of course there’s plenty of time for Brees and company to light us up, but our D is playing great thus far.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 1:54 PM EST reply actions

I think

we’re getting good pressure today.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:55 PM EST up reply actions

couldn’t POSSIBLY be. Everyone says he’s a bust.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 1:58 PM EST up reply actions

by shvd98z24 on Dec 6, 2009 2:05 PM EST up reply actions

there’s the Laron we’ve gotten used to. SHIT!!!

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:08 PM EST reply actions

YESSS

there you go. FUCK the 1st, go for the JUGULAR!!!!!!!!!

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:15 PM EST reply actions

That's what this team

Has been missing. I’m tired of us being competent with everything.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 2:16 PM EST up reply actions

exactly

let it fly. Let the players make the plays, instead of the coaches.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:17 PM EST up reply actions

well well well

santana, i believe you know the new orleans saints

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:15 PM EST reply actions

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 2:17 PM EST reply actions

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:18 PM EST reply actions

i'm sending sherm

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:20 PM EST reply actions

Easy, we say

there’s the door, GET THE F*&K OUT!!!

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:21 PM EST up reply actions

AGAIN I say

Oh what could have been?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:20 PM EST reply actions

OK, so we know

the offense came to play. Now how about the defense?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:22 PM EST reply actions

this is what a saints

fan posted in justintv … lsupat:

Not hating on the Skins, but NO is obviously hurting on D from the injuries

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 2:22 PM EST reply actions

good job Rak

let’s score again. Maybe we can take advantage of their “hurting defense.”

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:26 PM EST reply actions

lmfaoooooooooooooooooo

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 2:26 PM EST up reply actions

I don't blame Barnes

I blame our back cloud. How many of those fluke plays have happened to us this year?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:28 PM EST up reply actions

the time he woulda took to look up woulda winded up with him getting hit

he did the best he could. listened to the people around him, curled in on himself to make the smallest target possible and tried to move back

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:31 PM EST up reply actions

yeah, probably

but, again, plenty of bad teams go a whole season without ONE of those plays

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:31 PM EST up reply actions

cant blame anyone on that one

he tried to move

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:28 PM EST reply actions

Finally!!!

A sack, and they’re knocked out of field goal range.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 2:31 PM EST reply actions

that may be the best play of Landry’s career

I think he was

on SHockey when his elbow hit, made the catch

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:36 PM EST up reply actions

should be incomplete

or our ball. Just need to watch out for the cloud

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:35 PM EST reply actions

i dont know man

that cloud is pretty thick

by Boo. on Dec 6, 2009 2:36 PM EST up reply actions

it was an interceptiuon

down by contact

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:36 PM EST reply actions

yeah

almost makes you wish it was Carlos in on that INT. Would’ve been no doubt it was a drop

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:38 PM EST up reply actions

wow

what kind of bs is this

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:38 PM EST reply actions

I see the refs

Want the Saints to go undefeated.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 2:38 PM EST reply actions

Undefeated runs bring ratings. It’s a business not a game.

by Knubles and Bits on Dec 6, 2009 2:46 PM EST up reply actions

We're not good enough to overcome shit like this

wonderful

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laydODN6xVk

by hibachi on Dec 6, 2009 2:39 PM EST reply actions

Too many legs

flopping around. I think he didn’t have possession until he was clear of the receiver.

by Boo. on Dec 6, 2009 2:44 PM EST up reply actions

looked like his knee

was on Shockey when he got ahold of it. Doesn’t matter. Bad plays happen to bad teams. Like I keep saying, we need to clean house, empty all the bad ju-ju outta the locker room along with the bad luggage

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:46 PM EST up reply actions

nah

there’s enough animosity in more for the refs and moore

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:43 PM EST up reply actions

I'm both

mad at Snyder for not putting a wind machine over the stadium too.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:43 PM EST up reply actions

Its either an int and down by contact

or its no int there is no way he wasn’t down by contact

by Draco on Dec 6, 2009 2:42 PM EST reply actions

This team is

absolutely cursed. We get no reward for playing so well, instead we get yet another nut shot.

by ronoD nagrO on Dec 6, 2009 2:44 PM EST reply actions

But hey

17-17 is a damn good halftime score. Lets get our own black clouds out of here.

by Boo. on Dec 6, 2009 2:44 PM EST reply actions

so basically

0-0. Hate to be negative Nelly, but that doesn’t bode well for us.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:47 PM EST up reply actions

Strahan just CAN'T

give us props. Thought commentators were supposed to be neutral. We shot ourselves in the foot there, but who thought we’d even BE in this game.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:51 PM EST reply actions

man

i kew ya’ll had a great D but where has your offense been hiding all year

by mississippisaintsfan on Dec 6, 2009 2:52 PM EST reply actions

that too

AND behind a million O-line changes. Levi looks like a keeper

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:54 PM EST up reply actions

definitelty

still doesn’t mean we don’t go oline this offseason

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:56 PM EST up reply actions

Oh, believe me

I COMPLETELY agree. I’m hoping Levi is our backup LT next year.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:56 PM EST up reply actions

they played one really good half of football

so lets see if they can play another one right now. tbh, this team has looked good. Yes the punt and the fumble returned for six truly do suck and are very representative of the team’s fortunes this year but they are hanging with the Sants. Hope to see them do the same in the 2nd half.

I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused....

by piratedan7 on Dec 6, 2009 2:52 PM EST reply actions

good for Payton

he said what Strahan should’ve

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:57 PM EST reply actions

those are the passes

that keep JC from being a very good QB

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 2:58 PM EST reply actions

oh fuck me

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 2:59 PM EST reply actions

Wow

What a throw by Campbell. That was perfectly thrown to DT.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 3:00 PM EST reply actions

YOU SEE??

let the receiver make the play

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 3:00 PM EST reply actions

And let the

Receiver actually play so he can make plays.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 3:01 PM EST up reply actions

Why were we

Throwing it to Moss??? Especially after what Thomas has been doing all day.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 3:04 PM EST up reply actions

wow

Fred Davis and Devin Thomas are official. give Malcolm one more offseason and this will be a successful draft class

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 3:03 PM EST reply actions

Yip it`s good

to see Sleepy & DT make good plays, it gives us something to look forward to next year

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 3:05 PM EST reply actions

wholeheartedly agree

they’re what keeps me looking forward to these games

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 3:06 PM EST up reply actions

Too bad about Jarmon...

I would have liked to have seen him play more often.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 3:07 PM EST up reply actions

yeah

Tryon too. Hopefully he’ll be back

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 3:08 PM EST up reply actions

didn't think you were gonna be sayin that

in the offseason either, did ya?

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Dec 6, 2009 3:11 PM EST up reply actions

great

a short field for Brees.
Would that fumble have bounced our way without the cloud there?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 3:06 PM EST reply actions

Is Jim Zorn back to calling plays, or is that still being handled by others?

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 3:15 PM EST up reply actions

Let's hear it

for injuries,if we hadn’t had all these injuries they would never know how much talent is in the young guys because they would never develop them.Hope common sense sets in and they start these guys next season.

by xXBROLY on Dec 6, 2009 3:14 PM EST reply actions

WOW

must be Carlos’ kin

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 3:15 PM EST reply actions

That black cloud went away for that play. Almost an INT for a TD.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 3:16 PM EST reply actions

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 3:21 PM EST up reply actions

We have a

team, let Lewis OC next season and let them earn their starting jobs and we have serious potential for next season!

by xXBROLY on Dec 6, 2009 3:18 PM EST reply actions

This is getting really really good.

(I know I’m just a Bears fan, but the Skins are my Dad’s team, and I still follow the Skins with a sort of secondary fanhood).

Go hogs!

Obviously you have a good point

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 4:46 PM EST up reply actions

well at least we keep a higher draft pick

Oakland won too, so it could be top 3 for us

by Pommylee on Dec 6, 2009 4:47 PM EST reply actions

Oh we'll lose to Oakland take that to the bank

and they will probably blow us out too, we only fight and try against so called good teams

Hey, it could happen.

Even the defense has now given up.

Saints are being kinda greedy, though.

they're gonna score anyway

but this is ridiculous. The refs are TRYING to give them the game

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 4:49 PM EST reply actions

but i'm sure we'll hear on monday

that yes the fumble review should have been ruled a down by contact and the nfl will say sorry

by Draco on Dec 6, 2009 4:51 PM EST up reply actions

Maybe

Brees will test positive for steroids and the Saints will have to forfeit all their wins.

our fault for

not preaching ball security, but this really sucks. At least ONE of those calls should have gone our way

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 4:51 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah.....

what pisses ME off is the lack of consistency. There wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the fumble play, but there WAS enough to overturn the down by contact?

Fucking bullshit.

and if there was

then there was enough to overturn the first one. I hate blaming losses on the refs, cuz we shouldn’t put ourselves in that position, but that was atrocious

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 4:54 PM EST up reply actions

Like I said.

It’s just the inconsistency that bothers me.

Dbacks return to the WS in 2010?

Hey, it could happen.

by DbacksSkins on Dec 6, 2009 5:01 PM EST up reply actions

What Inconsistency

When they went to review, the announcers were all concluding there was no way to reverse that call. My brother turned to my nephew and said “they forgot the rule: replay ALWAYS goes against the ’Skins, no matter what.” And sure enough, reversal, FG, loss. So it was completely consistent.

That said, I’m completely in the “a good team doesn’t dominate the way they did and leave a game where the officials can hose them” camp. The Redskins have no beef, because it NEVER should have been close at the end.

black cloud

& dodgy calls, seems like the last few weeks there`s been bad calls that cost us

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 4:54 PM EST reply actions

F*** Blaming the refs

you have to make 23 yarders, u just have too

Suisham made 13 in a row when they didnt matter he has now missed 2 in 3 weeks that mattered, all you need from a kicker is he be clutch, Suisham has jellly legs when its important

Pommylee

by Pommylee on Dec 6, 2009 4:54 PM EST reply actions

i never seen

the field goal suisham missed, but did hear them saying bad snap when it happened

by mo19678 on Dec 6, 2009 4:55 PM EST up reply actions

I havent seen it here I must admit

but really how bad could the snap of been on a 23 yarder

AND

Once its placed, and it did get placed adn its not deflected, its a chip shot

Pommylee

by Pommylee on Dec 6, 2009 4:56 PM EST up reply actions

Chip shots

CAN be difficult if it’s an extreme angle. Closer you get, the wider the deflection angle.

Dbacks return to the WS in 2010?

by DbacksSkins on Dec 6, 2009 5:08 PM EST up reply actions

you also need to

play for the touchdown when you get close. Last 3 weeks, we’ve coughed up leads settling for field goals

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 4:57 PM EST up reply actions

Can't argue with you now

Im so fucking upset. How the fuck do you fucking take away the ball when you’ve blown the whistle, so that the players can’t fight for it.

by Boo. on Dec 6, 2009 4:59 PM EST up reply actions

They were too busy listening to league saying

“Just call it a TO, Brees and the Saints are a better storyline”

by Boo. on Dec 6, 2009 5:05 PM EST up reply actions

sure seems that way

why is it that you KNOW every questionable call is gonna go against us?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 5:07 PM EST up reply actions

Not to mention

non-called penalties.

Dbacks return to the WS in 2010?

by DbacksSkins on Dec 6, 2009 5:09 PM EST up reply actions

By a rule change that occurred last year or so this play was reviewable. It can only be ruled a turnover if the other team clearly would recover. Stupid ass rule if you ask me, but it is a rule.

by Knubles and Bits on Dec 6, 2009 11:32 PM EST up reply actions

maybe Danny will

just take a header out of his suite.

look as bad as us these days

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 5:03 PM EST reply actions

be on a 3 game winning streak right now. Only the skins.

by ronoD nagrO on Dec 6, 2009 5:08 PM EST reply actions

Although if we had won

the last two, I’m sure we would have come out flat as f* today.

by ronoD nagrO on Dec 6, 2009 5:09 PM EST up reply actions

like I keep saying

I know it’s hard to think about it now, but this really is for the better. We played hard, didn’t quit, the young guys keep improving and showing they belong, and we showed we could play with them. But we still preserve our draft pick, and show Danny that things need to change

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 5:12 PM EST up reply actions

Wow.

That makes so much sense….. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

know what you mean

but isn’t that pretty much his MO? How many times has he done that?

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 5:13 PM EST up reply actions

Too many times

There won’t be a lot of times where Campbell wins or loses the game for you, that’s just who he is.

by bigrm18 on Dec 6, 2009 5:15 PM EST up reply actions

yep

unfortunately we’re not good enough to win despite that. Sure would be nice if we were, cuz we need A LOT this offseason. Would be nice if we didn’t need a QB too

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 5:18 PM EST up reply actions

QB is a luxury pick

a luxury we can’t afford right now

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by DbacksSkins on Dec 6, 2009 5:25 PM EST up reply actions

I don't dispute

whether you deserved it. The refs screwed up some calls, but good teams don’t put themselves in that position. The bottom line is, the problems we had have plagued us all year. We played good, but the Saints played to win.

by CJHutch on Dec 6, 2009 5:29 PM EST up reply actions

I think your team is muc better than your record

Thank you for a very exciting game. All the best for the rest of your season and next year.

I really don't know what to say...

The Skins gave a fantastic performance today. They are coming on. If Campbell continues to play like that, your team is definatly heading in the right direction. I can’t say enough about your line play, O and D. Keep your head up and stick it to the ’boys. Great effort today.

"I don’t think about how good we’ve been,’’ Brees said. "I think about how good we can be.’’

by FLDune Patrol on Dec 6, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply actions

Well...

The better team did not win today. I have never seen so much crazy crap in one game. I hung up the towel before that missed field goal, and I hung up again after the Skins won the overtime coin toss. Campbell tore through our secondary like OJ in a room full of sports trophies, and the Skins d-line stuffed our running game like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Thanks Jack

I know Saints fans have been here, too. It’s why I don’t even mind the “Who Dat” chants. Much LOL
