Start Colt !
We've given the incumbant more than enough time to develop and improve. We have to face the facts that it's just not working.
Colt Brennan deserves a chance. He played so well in that preseason game 2 years ago. I say it's time....
to bench Hunter Smith and start Colt as the fake field goal specialist !
I've put Hunter Smith's stats into my QB rating calculator spreadsheet and the numbers don't lie. Sure Hunter started the season well. He had those two TD plays that we all remember.
However, after watching last night's game I can no longer defend Hunter. That trick play was just pathetic. He only had 3 guys coming after him unblocked and he still wasn't able to dodge them. Then he panicked and just threw the ball away right to the defenders. I've seen Colt dodge 14 different defenders in one play.
Let's face it. Hunter Smith is not an NFL calibre FFG (Fake Field Goaler)
Start Colt at FFG and LET COLT PASS !!

So are you saying
that he may not play next week?

Once your on IR
Thats your season ended, so even if his injury healed & he got fit, under NFL rules These players may not practice or return to the Active List in the same season that they are placed on injured reserve.
So basically.....
he will be healed up in time for the Pro Bowl ?

I thought I was going to have to kill you for a second
lol
This was hilarious. Thanks for this!

I'm thinking we put Hunter the Punter on EIR,
Ego Injured Reserve, and sign the guy that threw the shoe at George Bush. He put a nice spin on the shoe and only missed by inches. Another plus: he doesn’t speak English, so he can’t say anything bad about his teammates or understand the coaches.
I understand he knows nothing about American Football, which puts him light years ahead of most of our coaches and players. He can also play defense as he just has to stand there in the middle of the field and do nothing while the rest of the defense actually runs away from the point of attack. Therefore, statistically, he will have a better opportunity to make a play than the rest of the secondary.
And finally, I’m sure he knows how to make a bomb and would be able to get into Redskins Park and blow it up! (Just kidding Mr. FBI man or woman)
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
I like your idea better
Your right, there was some nice spin on that shoe. I was thinking either him or that character Random Task from Austin Powers. He had a nice throw too, and his angle of attack was hard to defend against.

They likely have the same style of dental work, too!
Just serendipitous.

Boy's About as Sharp as a Bowling Ball
Well I’m glad I made some of you laugh. I imagine alot of people won’t even read it because of the title.
Merry Christmas Everyone !
Classic DC, absolutely classic,
I was ready to de-offer my invite to catch up and watch the Dallas game next week
You still up for it??
I have a wide screen at home (Drummoyne) or we can go to Star City, whatever you prefer
Pommylee
Fo Shizzle
The Star City Casino is probably best.
I plan on drinking for that game, so there will need to be a train nearby.
Let me know what’s up!

Don't Blame Jason - Rebuild the O-Line!
While I can see it is very easy to blame Jason for our troubles; recent and past history show it to be foolish and premature. As recently as the 2008 season shows Jason to be more than competent WHEN PROTECTED. The first 8 games he was sacked 14 times, the record was 6 – 2. The last 8 games he was sacked 24 times, the record was 2 – 6.
Now go back to the last of the “Glory Days”, 1991. Mark Rypien was sacked A TOTAL OF 7 TIMES, the record was 14 -2! Very simple equation, PROTECT YOUR QB AND YOU WIN GAMES!
We do not need to start over with a new QB, we need to rebuild the O-Line and protect the QB like the Hogs became famous doing!
While it’s not the “sexy” way to win, we need Snyder, Allen and whom ever becomes the Head Coach (Shanahan probably) to SPEND WISELY on the players that matter, THE O-LINE!
P.S. Bringing Russ Grimm back might be a GREAT Start, too!
Did you Read
this post or just the title?

Are we really back to this again!!!!!
its getting to be like a broken record.
"When the rich wage WAR its the POOR that die!!!"
colt isnt even the 3rd stringer
I bet thgis guy couldnt even tell us the 3rd strings name… I know i couldnt without looking
"When the rich wage WAR its the POOR that die!!!"
Huh?
Third stringer for which position?

We need linemen so bad
but Snyder loves going after the “razzle dazzle” positions. I’m sure nothing would tickle his fancy more than a shiny new FFG.
There’s a guy from Michigan that’s supposed to go in the first round. He’s only 5’2", but his faking skills are phenominal.

Michigan??
I thought he was from Detroit, but I know who you are talking about…he is shooting up everyone’s draft boards.
Ha ha ha
He played so well in that preseason game 2 years ago
Let’s look at some Preseason games with other QB’s shall we?
Troy Smith threw for 200 yards and a TD on 14/30 against us this preseason. Not too bad.
Tavaris Jackson threw for 202 yards and 2 TDs on 12/15 against the Cheifs. I wonder why he’s not starting? Those numbers are great.
Brian Hoyer threw for 242 and a TD on 18/25 against the Giants. My goodness, we should trade our first rounder for him, he’s good.
My point is, preseason means absolute crap. The only competition is for a spot on special teams and maybe a battle between 2nd and 3rd string at CB or WR.

My point is
you failed to realize that this post was a joke.
It was a satire of all the “Jason Campbell sucks, Colt can do so much better” fanposts.
If you read the post, you would have realized I was arguing that Colt should be started on special teams as a “fake feild goal” specialist in place of Hunter Smith.
Derr!

I should have made my post a little clearer
I wasn’t trying to direct the post at you, I knew it was a joke. I just wanted to make my point for awhile and this was the first Colt post I saw.

COLT BRENNAN IS THE SHIT!!!
I am an eagles fan and i am glad you don’t play brennan because he would win you the NFC east. he lit it up in hawaii and would ligh it up every other place too. THE MAN IS MONEY but since the redskins are so stupid you are letting your best QB get away.
