Colt Brennan

Hey, 'skins fans. I'm a Bills fan and most of you probably know we are in desperate need of a qb. While I'm hearing you all want to get rid of J. Campbell, I'm inquiring about Mr Brennan. I see that he's on IR for an injury that he had also in college. Is this career-threatening? If not, what kind of future does he have in Washington? ESPN's scouting says he has both a strong and accurate arm with good decision making. I also remember seeing that he put up pretty good numbers in the '08 preseason, but didn't hear much from him this year. Any insight woud help. Thanks!

i would say

Brennan’s future is slim to none. He’s had a ton of injuries, is completely unproven in the NFL…and I personally think…he is way too raw to start as a QB. Just look elseware. Im sure the Bills will get a nice draftpick to blow on a QB.

Plus

why would you want a player who has been out all season…

His 09 pre-season was unimpressive (maybe because he was hurt with the torn hammy and hip injuries AGAIN which was his downfall in college…i dunno.), but one thing i do respect Zorn for is being a great QB coach…and if he can eye some talent, he would have put Brennan at least at the #2 job.

injuries

I actually read somewhere that those injuries are genetic, so I don’t he’s ever going to be completely right.

i believe it....

He just never seemed healthy. Maybe that’s why he was drafted in round 6!

The Cult of Colt

Don’t let the Cult hear all of this negativity. If you listen to them, they will say he’s the second coming of Steve Young.

He’s not even the 2nd coming of Bobby Hoying! He’s just not that good.

I meant to include that in my post

how dare he speak of “he who must not be named” before the season is over.

4th best qb on the roster in preseason. but our punter did not get many reps. he’s 1 of 2 with 1TD, 1 INT on the year- right inline with Colt

Bills fan you can have Campbell at QB,after the seasons over, only cost you 1st and 3rd

what the Hell, will give him to the Bills for a 3rd round pick. Colt give him 1 more year to see what he got. We gave Campbell only 5 yrs. to show what he has learned,oh! yeah sometimes he forgets how to play QB. Can not wait for Bradford or Tebow in 2010 Draft.

Typical JC hater I thought they had all vanished...

You are clueless when it comes to football. I can not think of but a few QB’s that could do better than Jason Campbell behind this O-line and none of them iare in the draft.

You, Ghost Rider...

Colt Brennan is a fan favorite.....

because he is a back-up. Every team has that one back-up that pulled just enough pixie dust out of their ass in one preseason to make the common fan (majority) think they are the savior. That is Colt for us…..unfortunately……this site has more real fans than common fans…..so we all realize he sucks. You can’t give him the time to develop like any other young QB bc he came out of college an old man….ie Chris Wienke. He is very erratic…….and in the 08 preseason…..lucky. 09 showed the true colors as he had trouble with every facet of the QB position other than holding a clipboard! He is a funny guy…..but not the future for anyone! JC needs to stay here and the only way anyone could talk me out of that is a 1st and 3rd rounder. He could be very solid behind a good ol….has a strong arm, can run, and appears to wear bulletproof armor when it comes to scrutiny! (I am not agreeing with you LJP…..this has been my stance from day one)

HOLD ON

colt brennan is the best. he lit it up in college and would do fine if he ever gets the chance. no wonder you guys haven’t shit in the last couple years. you put your best players on the sideline

it's catchy.....

but I would watch the reference to him getting his azz pounded…….some may take that the wrong way and then there will be another whole shit storm of rumors we will have to defend! Happy Holidays LJP! As far as the name…..how bout something more simple and catchy…..like Get Jason Blocking…..GSB……that’s catchy my friend!
