New York Giants at Washington Redskins, Dec 21, 2009 8:30 PM EST

Are you ready for some fooootball? A Monday night paaarty!

The post Vinny Cerrato era has begun and it is nice to hear fans are eager again to get their hands on tickets to tonight's game. The Redskins have put up great efforts in all their games since the BYE, so I expect nothing less tonight, especially since everyone is playing for their jobs.

The NFL.com poll

currently has Giants 52% to win, Skins 48%, with over 22,000 votes.

Go Redskins!

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

Good game tonight guys

got alot of relatives in Virginia that are misguided Skins fans, so I definitely don’t have the hatred towards you that I do to the Cowgirls or Iggles. Just want to see a great game and no one hurt!

That's why

People say we should switch to a 3-4 defense. I’m not necessarily advocating a 3-4, but good defenses do NOT allow teams to march down the field that easily.

seriously dude

after he couldn’t call the offense, couldn’t call time-outs like a HC, and couldn’t essentially do any of the substantive duties of a HC, wasn’t the only shred of a defense of Zorn that somehow, him just kind of “being” there around the players made them better? Your team looked like mine in the week 17 game at philly, this has quit spelled all over it. I have seen this before and it lingers; believe me it lingers.

The giants have landed a head shot to the zombie skins that have been shambling around this season since around week 3. Only able to occasionally chase down the feeble team that could not crawl away fast enough.

Special Teams

Practice that play I’m sure…how would that ever work?

by donniethelion on Dec 21, 2009 10:08 PM EST reply actions

With surprise.

If you can do it quickly enough they can’t swing out the players, you way overload that side of the field. A good throw, and you have a high chance in the jump ball that the “kicking” team will get the reception (in the end zone, ideally). An intereception is surrounded by players who can get the interceptor down. Should work, if you get surprise on your side.

by BillWard on Dec 21, 2009 10:11 PM EST up reply actions

it would work

if you catch the team by surprise. Any legit HC woulda scrapped the play after the timeout

by CJHutch on Dec 21, 2009 10:11 PM EST up reply actions

yes, exactly

they already showed the play, the element of surprise was gone to try it. still not convinced there’s enough eligible receivers to make that work.

by donniethelion on Dec 21, 2009 10:23 PM EST up reply actions

that looks clueless

cannot believe in that play, you might as well punt it

by Dovi on Dec 21, 2009 10:08 PM EST reply actions

I think

we should come out in the Victory formation first play

by CJHutch on Dec 21, 2009 10:08 PM EST reply actions

or start running out the clock

the QB is less likely to be injuted

by Dovi on Dec 21, 2009 10:10 PM EST up reply actions

So we can show

The Giants how they’ll look at the end of the game?

by bigrm18 on Dec 21, 2009 10:10 PM EST up reply actions

So on that play, was Hunter deliberately trying to do more QB magic,

or was he salvaging some mistake? I have it streaming online, and it’s a little hiccupy, so I didn’t get a clear peek.

Hunter the smashed

I heard this from a source

Hunter on Wednesday practice went up to Coach and said “Coach Zornbie , you suck as a coach, but it will be ok, they will put you out of your misery within 3 weeks”

So Coach Zornbie was pissed and he devised a plan to get Hunter back

He was going to make Hunter the QB, and then run a pass play, he will telegraph the pass play to the other team , so they knew what was coming. He will then remove the OL and watch Hunter get smashed

I say Zornbie on the sideline, he was laughinh his head off during the play
