The good win is better than a bad loss. If we were in the playoff hunt I would have voted the other way.

Why are we even discussin the Lions loss? It was months ago, the nfl community isn’t still harping on it, so why do it here? It was a game between two bad teams, just like the Browns-Lions game. The only thing is we thought we were decent back then, but now no one gives an F

I don't even consider the Lions loss that bad

Sure it was the Lions, and we gave up a 99 yard TD drive, but the Lions played really hard and deserved to win. The KC loss on the other hand is the one that hurt more. It was just terrible from beginning to end, we couldn’t move the ball, Jason got creamed over and over, got benched, things only got worse in the second half, and KC did nothing to deserve winning that game. I stopped caring about the season after that game.

You left out the third option

No, Beating the Saints would cause my head to explode in pure frustration that we could beat this team and find a way to lose to Detroit.

That’s kinda how I feel about the Broncos win. How did we do that but fail against the Lions AND the Chiefs? Blah.

or alternatively
Beating the Saints would cause my head to explode in pure frustration that we could beat this team and find a way to lose to Detroit.

It would unvalidate (is that even a word) everything that Snyderrato beleives about Football, Portis and all the starters lose to Detriot, then the Backups and 3rd stringers get a win against the Saints, maybe this might, just might, show Danny that depth and having Blue Collar give it their all types is more important that overpriced FA’s

(this comment in no way refers to Albert Haynesworth, we need a DT, the best was available, we got the best)

I don’t care what their records are, I just want a WIN

If loosing to the Giants will help them .....

make the playoffs over the cowboys I am all for that in a couple of weeks.

by LETJASONPASS on Dec 2, 2009 11:39 AM EST up reply actions

one doesn't have anything to do with the other.

The loss was embarrassing no matter how you sliced it. The only thing that would have relieved it a bit would have been the Lions beating a bunch of teams.

ok im a die hard redskins fan from texas. It would be an awesome win for us if we beat the saints but it would be HUGE if we beat Dallas so i can go ahead and shut these damn cowboy fans up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch

Sounds like I should have made the poll: If the Skins could only win 1 of the 2 games vs the Saints and Cowboys….which one would u pick?

Cowboys.

No contest. Let the Saints go 16-0, but give me a win over the Cowpokes and subsequent collapse any day.

by CarverM on Dec 2, 2009 2:00 PM EST up reply actions

I agree too

As a true Redskin fan I can consistently say every year that there are two games on the schedule that are more important than any other regardless of team records. Both of those games are against the Cowboys.

If we win 2 games in any given season, let it be the two cowboys games! At this point, the only way the Redskins could truly make me happy this season is to beat the cowboys here at home on Dec. 27th.

by Kurtstack on Dec 2, 2009 2:39 PM EST up reply actions

It works in this order for me

1. Super Bowl – obviously the most important if we ever get there.

2. NFC Championship game

3. Any playoff game

4. Cowboys Home

5. Cowboys Away

6. All other games

As you can see the value of winning a game against the cowboys ranks just under winning a playoff game in my book.

by Kurtstack on Dec 2, 2009 2:43 PM EST up reply actions

To me

its the difference between excitement and satisfaction. I would be excited if anything in the order of 1-3 occurs, but nothing is as satisfying as a 4 or 5 – especially if it bumps them out of the playoffs.

How you boys are ?????

Thought I would drop by just to say Hi. I just wanted to see what the heart beat was about my Saints coming to town. Man, ya’ll havin a hard time this year and I feel for you cause I been there but I dont think you will find a solution this week end . You will need to hide the women and children cause this aint gonna be pretty. I will tell ya that I will be pulling for you to knock off the Cowboys. I want them fightin mad when they come to the Dome because we have the “Perfect Storm” waiting on them.

by saint-sly on Dec 2, 2009 6:01 PM EST reply actions

I'm counting on

back to back losses by the ‘boys. I would much rather see NO in the playoffs then Jerruh’s boys. Worst case, beat em up bad after we’ve had them whupped, then beat them again in the play-offs.

A side note: We always hide our women and children whenever the Threat Condition is Orange or above. Kinda explains why I haven’t seen much of the li’l lady this decade, come to think of it.

I wouldn't mind...

seeing two undefeated teams in the superbowl (Saints vs Colts). That would be pretty cool.

I would rather not have lost to the Lions. We should never EVER lose to the Lions.

SAINTS

I can’t wait for the boy’s from dust town known as (Cowgirls). I have never seen a team so OVER RATED as that team !! Every year every one picks them to win it all ? I just don’t see it and how about Romo , is he a bottom feeder or what ? Every time I see him he is fumbling or throwing a pick !! What , aren’t they averaging something like 7 pts a game or something ? Do you all remember the last time the Saints played Dallas ? It was so bad it made Parcells retire (LMAO). Note: I hope this MNF game with New England don’t make their coach retire as well ??? But , come on Saturday night and bring the (BOY"S) to the THUNDERDOME and we will give the Redskin fans something to laugh about..

by sainthog on Dec 3, 2009 9:02 AM EST reply actions

Haha

When you said

how about Romo , is he a bottom feeder or what ?
I thought you were referring to his standard in women.

WHO DAT GONNA OWN DEM REDSKINS? SELL THE TEAM, DAN

Let’s all tell him. Get your SELL THE TEAM, DAN bumper sticker at www.savetheskins.com

by savetheskins.com on Dec 3, 2009 9:22 AM EST reply actions

Damn, you guys are serious

I think the owner just needs to get his face out of the locker room. We had the same problem with Benson until he gave controlling interest to his granddaughter. Now we never hear from him and she has done a great job and you only see her at the games…..Not in the locker room. You can see what owners in the locker room does with the Cowboys (Jerry Jones ), Raiders (Al Davis), Tampa Bay( Cant rember his name) and ofcourse Red skins (Dan Schnyder).. Seems as though when the owners get involved, it takes away the Coaches Power and the team fails.

Come on man...............

Just having a little fun. Nuttin wrong with a little smack. For years we had to take it and take it and now we get to give it back a little bit. Just so happens we are playing ya’ll this Sunday so wanted to sturr the pot.
I do hope ya’ll can bury Dallas the next time ya’ll play them and I will be rooting for you. I can’t stand Dallas and cant wait till we have them in our house in a couple weeks.
Ya’ll have beat my Saints for the past two years and now it’s our turn cause Greg Williams use to coach ya’lls defence under Joe Gibbs and has turned up the volume just for ya’ll. He says he wants pay back for not being chosen as head coach when Gibbs retired. Based on the defence he put together for the Pats. I would say your Redskins are in trouble. If I have offended anyone……………..I appologize. Not really……………………..

by saint-sly on Dec 4, 2009 6:21 PM EST up reply actions

that wasn't aimed at you

I know how to have a little fun, I was saying that we don’t need guzs like savetheskins.com on this site. so when zyou guys go back home, please take him with you :)

Interesting

I read the transcript of Sean Payton’s press conference today. He talked about some injuries, he talked about Monday night, he talked about Reggie Bush. He didn’t say the word “Redskins” once. Looking over the rest of the Saints coverage in the N.O media — same thing. Nobody is talking about the Redskins. They’re still celebrating Monday night.

I am a long-time Saints fan; a N.O. native working in DC. I found tickets on Ebay and I will be going to the game on Sunday. I’ll be shivering at Fed Ex Field, rooting for the Saints. However, I have a lot of respect for my adopted Redskins team. I think the Saints are going to lose this one.

And when the Saints lose, it will be the worst thing to happen for the Redskins, because the bozos in ‘Skins management will take it as some sort of sign that they’re doing something right. Nope. God, I wish somebody would fix this team.

by Gumboz on Dec 3, 2009 7:14 PM EST reply actions

Nope..................

My Saints wont lose to the Redskins. Last years loss is still on their mind. Payback is hell.

by saint-sly on Dec 3, 2009 7:36 PM EST reply actions

I hope you're right

for the Saints’ sake AND for the Redskins’ sake.

Supposed to rain/snow on Saturday and the high will be 41 on Sunday. Boy, dis yat is gonna be cold in that stadium.

Wont even notice

cause my Saints are HHHHOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTT and too Hot to handle.
