Redskins @ Raiders Red Zone Preview

The Redskins "stat of the week" is brought to you by Comcast and the new NFL Red Zone channel.

These posts get more difficult each week because the Redskins consistently out-play their opponents in the red zone, but continuously find ways to lose. If I had told you the Skins would have 3 red zone touchdowns and the Saints zero...there's no way we could lose, right? Well, we know this team well enough to know a 21 point lead is not safe with 2 minutes left.

The Raiders bring a new look offense with Bruce Gradkowski, who  reminds me a lot of Jeff  Garcia. The Raiders red zone offense their last three games are 2-2, 1-2, and 1-2. In chatting with the Raiders fans at Silver and Black Pride, they feel like they're going to run the ball all over us. I didn't realize how bad the Jamarcus Russell situation had gotten. He's saying his poor play and Gradkowski's success is because the supporting cast is playing better:

"Guys are just making plays around him," Russell said. "In the Dallas game after you go out and win in Cincinnati there wasn’t plays really made the whole game, you know what I mean. Going into Pittsburgh, guys were making plays for him. That’s what a quarterback needs, his surrounding players. That’s what was going on."

PLEASE DON't GO 0-2 TO THE RAIDERS

Since their epic fall from the Superbowl. Remember last time we played them and they were HORRIBLE…… Yeah, a lack luster performance and a loss. It would be a terrible thing to never beat the worst team EVER!!!!

Rams are far worse

The raiders have more talent then people think. We need to run the ball more today then we usually do to get the W.

I’m at work and will miss the game but I’m very curious to see how this team plays after three weeks of heartbreaking losses.

I'm worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only one case left- Barney Gumble

I actually thought they would be the surprise team, and very well could have if not for Jamarcus Russell. But record wise, they are the worst team over the last 7 years.

Ehy is the stadium half empty?

I know it is the Traiders, but this is the NFL, and a superbowl rematch, right?
