The future is NOW.....
Now that we are 2-6........isn't it now officially time to see what we have???? Time for the young guys to come in, get experience, and audition for next years all new staff! I wouldn't go as far as another poster commenting on another topic, and IR all the vets; but now is the time! Let's see Jarmon, Orapko (I know he is already in there), Mitchell, and so on get major increases in time! Snyder should already have started a break down of the roster.....who can/should go, who should stay. I am sure he has an idea of how to create cap space . I would be much happier watching a losing team that is training it's future out there then a team that keeps trudging along with the old guys. I would like to see everybody's ideas for the starting lineup the rest of the year! Mine is below! Let me have it, no matter what.....I am sure I am messing something up!
OFFENSE
Cartwright/Ganther
Williams/Sellers
Campbell/Woodson?
Mitchell Davis - OL is so shitty.....sub anyone in any position Thomas Kelly
Don't even know if we still have Woodson....but Campbell is good as gone....so why not if we have him! I know he sucks, but what the hell! Maybe we should play for a draft pick even though I hate the idea of packing it in halfway through the season!
DEFENSE
Basically the same.....more Wilson, and Jarmon.....maybe see Kareem Moore instead of Landry......I have no faith in Tryon and Westbrook......so....same ole shit at DB!

Woodson is not on the active roster, we only had him for the first week of the season to help game plan against the Giants. The only QB’s on the roster right now are JC and Collins.
Fehr is fair, but I like Laich

Only thing good for me....
is everyone in my company comes down from Cleveland, OH!!!!! The gap isn’t as big as it once once, but luckily they still considers the Skins better than the Browns. I just hope they don’t hop to the Bengals!

Thomas, Kelly, Davis
I think we need to focus on these three. If we spent the rest of the year trying to force them the ball to see if they will be contributors next year, that would be time well-spent. Unfortunately, there aren’t rookie-sensations waiting in the wings to get a look at QB, RB, or on the line. Sure, I’d be curious to have a look at Woodson and Ganther, but there is probably a good reason they are so low on the depth chart.

TOTALLY AGREE
I wouldn’t go as far as another poster commenting on another topic, and IR all the vets;
I won’t go that far either. But, if some of these vets even show up to the next game with a broken fingernail, I would start one of the young guys in their place. It’s time to determine who’s staying and who’s going.

Was watching B-Mitch and Freeman light our guys up last night. They brought up the point that Portis only practices 10% of the time. It’s usually Betts and Cartwright in there at practice. Therefore, they have a better feel for what the lineman can and can’t do, and the lineman have a better feel for them than Portis. Makes sense and it definitely showed after Portis went out!

Portis is finished
when you watch the Giants Chargers it is obvious that Portis and LT are at the same stage of their career, they were both physical bruising backs, who gave their bodies for the team, and we shoudl aplaud them for it, but sad as it is to say, their done, just finished, Any GM who signs up a RB on big money beyond his 29th B’day is a fool and anyone who takes them in the first round is not much smarter, how many good backs especially in commitee situations came from the lower rounds, and yeah there is Peterson, but for every Peterson their is a McFadden and a Bears standard Benson…… Even Peterson is not as much better than a good third rd back as a top 5 pick O-Linemen is better than Chad Rhinehart!!!!!

I remember
When they said Bettis was washed up when he was trafed to the Steelers. You never know with these things.

Bettis was around 25 when he was traded to PIT
and he only had 3 full seasons under his belt

thats sort of my point Milky
you can take a punt on a Benson or someone basically anyone under 27, but once a RB hits 30 it is such a physically demanding postiong, particuarly these days where they are getting him by 300pd+ guys at full speed all the time, its just gotta wear you down.
