Fantasy Draft by Position Player and exec
For all those people who still think, against all evidence to the contrary, the front office is not the problem with this Skins the loss of our Secondary Coach to MIami got me thinking of a good intellectual exercise that could help place the blame for our many many woes as Redskins fans
Imagine that tomorrow EVERYBODY in EVERY TEAM and EVERY FRONT OFFICE goes into a Fantasy Draft for 32 teams, even Owners
SO for all the Campbell haters, I think even the most virulent of you would ahve to admit that Campbell goes in the first 32 at the worst and probably top 20 ( i personally think somewhere between 18-25 [his lack of any game winning drives and more importantly my complete lack of confidence in him doing so when given the chance the last 2 weeks means I am becoming less of a beleiver all the time)
However other than Haynesworth as a DT who would probably go top 5 and Fletcher B RAK and even Carter who would prolly go top 15 he would be the top rated skin
BUT NOW COMES THE FUN PART
WHere do you think VInny would go, now think that not only are their 31 other GM's who currently are employed that would go before him, but you have the Cowhers, Holmgrens etc, plus the Chris Polians of the world, in fact i doubt Vinny would even get drafted in the first round of ANY OF THE FRONT OFFICE POSITIONS, scout, player development, draft office, any of it, YET HE IS THE GM HERE
THen Danny Boy, He would go what 30th at best , in front of Jerry Jones and the mess in St Louis, nut then maybe you want a mad Russian or a Mark Cuban, or my personal favourite, a dignified billionaire who just wants to own it for the Status at the end of his life and the business ops of having Washington based corportate boxes but leaves the Football dept well alone.
Still lets say Snyder sneaks a first round pick, we know Zorn would not even go First round as a co-ordinator never mind a HC, so the question remains, why so much hate for Campbell, when even with his many limitations he is probably in the top 5 highest rated ppl in the organisation
ANyway I think it is a fun exercise even if you disagree with me
MORE IMPORTANT THAN ALL OF THIS I JUST GOT A NEW TV HOW AMAZING IS FOOTBALL IN HD., I EVEN TOOK THE DAY OF WORK TODAY JUST BECAUSE I COULD NOT WAIT 12 HOURS FOR THE REPLAY HIGH DEF MY FRIENDS HIGH DEF.....I KNOW I'M LATE TO THIS BUT GREATEST INVENTION EVER

If I understand you correctly
and you are talking about a draft with every player eligible. Then there is no way that Campbell would be drafted in the first 32 picks. Also Fletcher and Carter wouldn’t be top 15 picks.
Secondly, there is no way that Jerry Jones would be drafted after Snyder. You are talking about someone who has 3 SB rings and has shown marked improvement in his managerial skills in recent years. He is also one of the top 5 owners in the league.
The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!
LOL you cowboys are funny
I’m not going to argue with you over the players. those are subjective opinions. Your " top five owner " is a different matter. This is the same guy who kicked Tom Landry to the curb like he was a dog, & a couple of months later did the same thing to Tex Schramm, who fired Jimmy Johnson after an argument & replaced him with Barry Switzer. How did that little TO/Pacman experiment work out. Must have gone pretty well because you got rid of Parcells to keep TO. Your owner is one of, if not the biggest A-hole in this league.
Proffesional writers with no affiliation to the Cowboys agree with me
Michael silver ranks Jones as the leagues 2nd best owner in this article.

Michael Silver???
I really don’t care what Michael Silver thinks of Jerry Jones, he didn’t come over from a rival fansite to talk shit. Why don’t you respond to what I said above
I'm not "talking shit"
Where have I ripped on any Redskins player? And I pointed you to the article because it does address what you said.
Lampoon Jerry Jones all you want, and try to write off his three Super Bowl championships as the product of Jimmy Johnson’s greatness, and you’ll drown in a sea of cliché and superficiality. These are the facts about Jones: Over the past two decades no owner has been bolder (beginning with the out-of-the-blue hiring of Johnson in 1989); no owner has done more to move the league from its de facto communism of the pre-salary-cap era to the more entrepreneurial present; nobody has been as willing to put his wealth, reputation and vision on the line in the pursuit of winning. That doesn’t mean Jones will always do things the way you (or I) insist he should. I’d love to see him hire a Dimitroff-type executive and trust him to run the personnel operation, and I wish he hadn’t have bit on the Roy Williams trade. But if I were a Cowboys fan, I’d get down on my knees and thank the football gods for sending Jerry and his family to North Texas, and none of you will ever convince me otherwise. Among his many recent accomplishments: Jones, as chairman of the NFL Network, joined forces with Goodell to settle a long-running dispute with Comcast after successfully demonstrating that customers would cancel their cable service if denied access to the channel. Said one rival owner: "You’ve got to give it up for Jerry. The stadium’s spectacular. Four words: Big vision, big testicles."

Is Reading a problem??
Obviously you are ripping our QB when you say that he would not be drafted in the first 32 since there are only 32 teams. That would mean that not only are every other starting QB better than ours but also one backup. The same goes for your statement about London Fletcher & Andre Carter who are both having excellent seasons, London should be in the Pro Bowl.
As for your “objective” reporter, he appears to have his head so far up Jerry Jones ass that he can count the warts on old Jerry’s prostate. As I said above, respond to the comments that I made about your owner, not digging up some ridiculous PR article
Well reading may be a problem for you...
If you bothered to read further down, after Pommylee clarified his ranking syste, I stated “I won’t argue with the player rankings if they are by position”.
And that isn’t a PR article despite your dismissal of it.

you misunderstand
and you are talking about a draft with every player eligible. Then there is no way that Campbell would be drafted in the first 32 picks. Also Fletcher and Carter wouldn’t be top 15 picks.
I’m talking about “By Position”
So campbell would be the 20th drafted QB for instance
or Fletcher top 15 rated Middle Linebacker adn Carter top 15 rated Defensive End
However now I get to the Jones thing, surely you are kidding
Off the top of my head I can think of about 10 owners I would prefer
The Krafts, The Irsays and The Rooneys topping the list
Jerrys 3 suberbowl rings were built off a team drafted before he started meddling and drafted by using the exact opposite tack to Jones, namely letting a highly rated player go and using the Picks to get 3 Superbowls
, and as for his improved managerial skills, how is that Roy Williams trade working out for you over in Big D, you realise that is basically the exact reverse of the trade that got you them rings right
Pommylee
Well I wont argue with the player rankings if they are by position.
But in reference to Jones, see the article above. He is undoubtedly a great owner. In reference to his improvement as a general manager, I am referring to letting Canty go and instead signing Olshansky, who is bettering Canty’s production for a quarter the price. Also the avoidance of marque free agents (Ray Lewis) instead signing Brooking who has proved very valuable. The 08 draft class has already proved very good. So yes, he has recently made very good decisions, which is why we are currently in first place in the East. Although I realise not many would agree on a Redskins blog.
If you are trying to compare the Williams trade with that of Hershel Walker, then you are way off. We effectively gave up only two draft choices, and Williams has been above average as a #2 WR. Admittedly he is overpaid, but mistakes like that are no longer the norm in our organisation.

thats the one I was referring too (Herschel Walker)
and you are right it is not in the same stratosphere, but it remains the same principle
Giving up 2 1st Rd Picks and a 2nd for a NUMBER 2 WR is not good business
but that is not really my point about Jones, and by the way I think you can make a strong argument he is above Snyder, but this is a Skins blog afterall :), my point is that owners should butt out of those decisoins, they are decisoins for Football ppl, not oil magnates.
Anyway you deserve some pain, you in your lifetime have not only had 3 SB trophys to enjoy, you also have had the pleasure of watching Andrew “Joey” Johns!!!
Pommylee
2 quick points
The Williams trade was actualy a 1st, a 3rd and 1 5th for Williams and a 6th round choice.
Secondly, while I did get to enjoy Joey (and 2 Knights premierships), I had never experienced American football until this decade, so I have not enjoyed 3 Super bowl wins.
