We now have instant OFFENSE ????

I love the fact that Rock Cartwright is now starting for us. We now have instant offense !!!

The only problem is the instant offense is not on our offense but our kick off return team. This was the biggest move we have made all season long allowing Devin Thomas to return kicks. This man was a star returning kicks in college but due to locker room politics he has not had a major role with the skins returning kicks. It is ashamed that Jim Zorn did not have the spine to start the best return guy (Devin Thomas) over the veteran (Rock Cartwright). I would bet you that Thomas is worth about 10 more yards on any returnable kick than Rock. He is faster, quicker and able to break tackles. This will be the move that makes our offensive production go up. When Rock returns kicks you wait for him to get tackled fast and the offense to come on the field. When Devin Thomas returns kicks you sit on the edge off your seat waiting for a good return. If our offense starts in better field postion we don't have to play it so safe. It is a big difference starting at the 38 yard line versus the 18 yard line. The sad thing about this is Rock still wants to return kicks because he knows that he will loose his job if Devin gets to many return oppurtunities.

LET DEVIN RETURN KICKS !!!

better late than never

now we just need them to use somebody else to return punts, coz Fair Catch El is`nt getting it done & i think it`s about time we used either Kelly or Mitchell on punt returns

Returning Kicks

Will help Thomas’s overall game as well, There’s nothing like taking a hit or breaking a tackle to get the pregame jitters out of your system. I think a good return here or there will help Thomas out with with dropped catches and playing a bit more physical for the whole 60 minutes.

I noticed that too. DT getting that kickoff return seemed to get him going. He showed a few flashes that he is a play-maker the last two weeks. I was starting to give up on him coming around.

time will tell

Lots of people are great in college and total flops in the NFL so time will tell if DT matches your hype. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just saying lots of people look promising but can’t make the NFL transition. I hope you’re right.

Did you not see the catch and run ...

I would take it that you did not see the catch and run for a first down that he made two weeks ago. He showed all the abilities of a great kick returner. He was fast , quick , broke tackles and made four or more people miss Rock could never do this.

well we did have to wait long for time to tell did we ???

Devin Thomas is big, strong, quick and fast it was not hard to tell that his skills would transfer over to the NFL. I will give you another pointer look off for Ganther if he is given a chance he can be a good at least # two back for us. He is better than any back we have healthy right now. He is probably even better than Portis at this point in his career !!!
