Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Injuries keep adding up

Update: DeAngelo Hall has a sprained knee and is likely to miss 1 game.

Not big news but....Portis, Betts and Rinehart

- Betts has an MCL tear
- Rinehart has a broken Fibula
- Portis is ruled out next week against Philly

There is talk about bringing Mason back...

Star-divide

Injuries are not the problem but they are still starting to add up, time to get everyone on IR and start auditions for next year.  Cooley, Portis, and others...

Ladell Betts has torn MCL

If you think it all sounds very bleak, you're not the only one.

"It is bleak," Zorn said. "Being 3-7 is bleak

Feel So Sorry for Rhinehart

I am the furthest thing there is from an expert on O-Line play but I always felt he got a raw deal from the coaches, and it was quite clear that Zorn was not a fan from his rookie training camp for some reason he always seemed to be quick to criticise him…. almost like they magnified every mistake

Plus they never gave him a chance to play a lot of series in a row and build some rhythm and gain confidence in himself, now maybe he was terrible and didnt deserve it, but still hes a third round pick I just felt they should have bit the bullet and gave him a couple of full games to see if he could adapt

Then one week after his best game as a Pro this happens, very sad, very sad

prediction

Yet another OL problem and let me guess, VC will still say the OL isn’t a priority.

I do feel sorry for Rhinehart and every other player on the team for that matter.

And the Team Keeps

Playing better. Interesting isn’t it.

the defense continued to play well

but it’s hard to say the offense “improved”

fair enough

But when you lose 2 starters to injury and still move the ball…that says something. They had a undrafted center playing RG…and he did decent.

Cowboys are way worse than I thought.

we only got in the red zone once.

just sayin’, the original point by Kurt isn’t really true of the offense.

I likee

blaming our success on injuries. New tack that only our FO could arrange.

I'm sure this will be posted on here soon

but I see from redskins.com that Betts, Rinehart and Eddie Williams were all placed on IR.
Mason was re-signed and we signed an OL from the Iggle’s Practice squad named Fanaika, a 7th round pick out of Arizona State.

Mason

I can’t believe he came back again.

I'm surprised they chose him

I saw where he made some less-than-cordial remarks when he was cut the last time. I hope he gets on the field and produces now so he can stick around for a while.
I feel for Betts though, the guy’s opportunities are so few and far between and then this happens to him. You have to think that he may not get many more chances in his career.

by CarverM on Nov 23, 2009 5:29 PM EST up reply actions

Probably not

Where’s CJ? I thought he would be all over this by now.

I personally don’t see what people’s problem is with Mason. His pass protection left something to be desired, but people had the same exact complaint about Betts in the offseason, and Betts has been in the league for years.

I think the guy has good vision and could give us a good look at what he can do for the rest of the season.

I feel sorry for Cooley

The man went and got screws and bolts put into his ankle to hold it together, and for what?
