Rock plays well all day and on a 3rd and short we call a draw.
The D plays well all day until the final drive .
Sherman Smith or Lewis or whoever should not be trusted to make clutch decisions

props to the Skins defense from a Cowboys fan

before this game I had discounted the Skins’ defensive ranking (5th overall, 1st against the pass in yardage allowed) based on a soft schedule, but I have to give them credit. Us Cowboys fans, despite the win, will fret about our offense being totally out of sync, but a good defense can put an offense out of sync. Even with Haynesworth out, you held a pretty high powered offense that had been putting up 23+ points per game to 7 points (and shut them out for 57+ minutes).

It was really a typical close, ugly, hard-fought game between these two franchises that have had many like this over their history, including recent years. If you throw out the last game of ’07 when the Cowboys had clinched the #1 seed and were resting their starters, the total point difference over the last 4 contentious games is a total of 8 points, 2 points per game.

The Skins certainly have their problems, but their defense is for real and to be respected, and can be built on for the future.
