Lets be honest Ya'll!
Ok, heres the deal. Your right. He is not the worst QB in the game. However, with that said.
I dont think that he is a starter in a west coast offense (or at least thats what we are supposed to have). He would maybe do well if he had, oh i dont know, 8 - 9 seconds to make up his mind on where to throw it. We all know how realistic that is. dont we?
Im not gonna post some rediculous poll that unly limits answers to reflect good things to say about him.
Lets Compare him to other QBs in the game right now that dont even have as much talent on the team as we do.
Aaron Rodgers is going to be my example.
* Rodgers has the highest QB rating of 110.4% with this weeks game added Campbell has an 85%.
* He has been sacked 31 times to Campbell 20. (There goes the weak O line argument)
* He has only thrown 14 TDs to Campbell 8.
*Rodgers has only given up 2 INTs Campbell has 7.
*Rodgers has 4 fumbles Campbell has 8.
* They both have roughly the same Attempted and completed pass numbers.
* I watched Rodgers throw 2 TDs to a 3rd string TE lastnight that is actually a 2nd string LINE BACKER! We have Chris Cooley who has actually seen a game this year without a single touch (before the leg) because someone does not look at him.
What I want for you guys to do is tell me something that he does well as a QB.

Deep Threat
You said it at the start, he is not a WCO QB and I think that has become obvious recently (mind you Zorn is not a NFL standard WCO HC either so maybe Campbells nto as bad as he looks)
I think though taking pure sack numbers as a measure of an O-Lines effectiveness is a little too simplistic. If you watch Rogers he brings a lot of Sacks on himself by holding on to the ball too long, i.e taking 5 seconds when he had 3.5.
Plus sacks is one stat, what about QB Pressures, what about QB Hits.
What I am saying is that yes Rodgers gets sacked (and BTW I think Rodgers is a terrific QB< unfortunately we get many more Green Bay games in OZ that ’Skins games so I see a lot of him) but he brings many of the sacks on himself and on other occasions he has plenty of time to stand in the pocket and go through his reads, from what i have seen of Campbell he is basically always under some sort of pressure
I think Campbell is a great deep threat QB that with a good O-Line would stop teams from loading up the box, that is why I think if Favre retires he would be the perfect fit for Peterson in Minnesota next year, forcing teams to choose their poison, go with Seven in the Box and let Peterson kill you, or go with 8 and have Campbell hitting Harvin with 50 yard Bombs

lol.... With that offense... I could be a hall of fame QB... Favre literally gets 8 -9 secs...

but doesnt this reply
sort of prove the point that Campbell suffers behind is current O-Line. It seems you are saying that an O-Line is the main arbiter of a QB’s success and I agree I think we all do
To be honest mate I am glad to see the opposing view that you often put forward about not being happy with Campbell, not that I agree with it, but I dont get to see to many games so IO am working off a smal sample size in terms of my viewership and a lot of reading what others think and trying to make a determination based off that so the anti-campbell view is a nice balance, I just think personally and I could be wrong that given a real chance behind a good O-Line he would be better than what he is showing at the moment

Any starting Pro QB
Would do well with a solid line. If you have 8 -9 seconds like Favre has someone will get open.
I do agree that our O-line is the root of the teams success. My only point about Campbell what it does when he is not under threat.
You know maybe its all the preasure he has on him that makes him mess up the first half of each game. Maybe he is try too hard and it throws him off until he relaxes. I understand the stress of the blind side sack. Im sure he has a little PTSD from the hits. He just needs to go out there and play the game like its a game. Realize that his game play is not gonna kill millions

I have no problem with your view.....
Aaron Rodgers has better numbers…..yes….good job! There is always another side to the argument…..show me another QB with success in as many different offenses, as many different coaches, as many different offensive lineman??? That’s all I am saying. Rodgers has been in the same offense since he came in with Campbell in 2005…..same coach……shitty OL! It makes a difference knowing the offense inside and out. Not to mention…..playing behind one of the best QB’s of all time for 3 years! That makes a difference.
You are entitled to your view, although I don’t believe it’s as “honest” as you claim it to be. That’s the point of this site….to get other people’s views and share your own! My problem with you is you want to take it personal. Who are you to infer Rydaddy and I need to slow the games down? You based a whole post on reading my post incorrectly and then want to go personal. Just type your opinion, and shut the fuck up! That’s my point! Not everyone in the world needs to hide behind a computer screen!

Check this out. If you live in the DMV we can take this from behind a computer screen. Look at you you getting so butt hurt? Its funny really. You really love this guy dont you? Im sorry, I will leave him alone if it is really bothering you that bad. I never went personal until you started your trash talk. If you cant take it dont sling it.
I wish him the best of luck with the Raiders next year. Maybe Anderson will let him hold field Goal snaps…

Nope....
I don’t live in the Dept of Motor Vehicles….so I guess that’s out! Go back and read "Jason Campbell’s statement "! I used your name in an example bc the reply was to your post. That’s where I said you were in advertising…..all I did was use your name in the example! Where is the trash talk? When I said I don’t know what you do for a living? Did that hurt your feelings….was that trash talk bc I said maybe you deliver milk! Next reply from you I am apparently retarded? I am done with this……you will never see anybody else’s side! I am still more than happy to meet up if you are willing to come out of the DMV!

DC, Maryland, Virginia = DMV
I am not a real Milkman, i just play one on TV. I am a Soldier. Dude there is no anger on my side at all. To be honest I didnt realize I was arguing with just you. I am just a fan, like you that wants his team to succeed. Failure is not something that I except from anyone that I have stock in.
I want campbell to be the leader on gameday. I want him to get pissed and get into peoples faces when it matters. Not on Tuesday morning. He is the leader. If anyone is holding back he is responcible for picking them up or getting them off the field. I guarantee you that there is someone else down the roster that wants to play. I am a leader of soldiers. If I have soldiers that are not doing their jobs to the fullest I correct it. He is no leader. I wanna see him get mad.
Im just ready to see this team go all out.

Dammit.....
I am in West Virginia…..I grew up by Quantico though (Stafford) and was born in Adak, Alaska when that base was still open….dad’s retired Navy! Am I still in the DMV? Haha…..I am over it! I am totally open to any and all opinions on here and if I think something is dumb….I will say so…..but I don’t go after the person (obviously, unless I feel they come after me).
As far as Campbell, believe me, I understand your view and where you are coming from. I don’t agree with all of it but I understand. This is what we have though…..we don’t have Rodgers…..we don’t have Roethlisberger…….we have Campbell. Being a soldier, I would expect you to also understand rallying around your men. I know you want JC to step up and be that verbal force to drive everyone else…..I just don’t think that is his style of leadership. What I do know…..is there are 52 other men in that locker room, all of which can step up at anytime. I would like to see them ALL step up.

Question about Soldiering Milky
In Australia we often here that our Soldiers are massively respected by our allies, Now I am english and living in Australia so I really get tired of the Patriotic “we are the best at everything” that the Australian media engages in with Sport and basically all things Aussie…. but soldiers are a different story they deserve all the praise they get, I was just wondering if you had ever been stationed with Australians or worked along side them and if it is true that they are so well liked, because we are constantly told that the Americans in particular love working with the ADF (Australian Defence Forces) and the Aussies were there with you in every war, Vietnam and Iraq 2 included, not just the popular ones like WW2 and Iraq 1

Good question
Yes, I have had the privilage of cohabitating with some Aussie special forces guys During the Iraq war in 03. They were probably the nicest bunch of bad asses i have experienced in my service. They would one minute be in flip flops and cargo shorts(camoflague) totally relaxed. Then the next they would be suited up looking like well traing soldiers that they are. They all know what they are doing. They are VEry Very good at what they do. I would gladly have any Aussie soldier watching my back in a fire fight.
Side note: Aussie BBQ is awsome. These guys BBQed like it was a religion. I asked them one time how they always had fresh steaks every other day. They successfully capture Sadams Royal cattle ranch. Once a month they would knock off one of those cows for the feastings. I dont just mean they would walk up and slit its throat. They would set up a sniping point about a quarter of a mile away and take it out cleanly and quickly. Then the shooter would pose for a picture like it was a 10 point deer he just hunted. The cows were pre taged and named for the month they would be used.

thats good to hear
I had no reason to doubt it was true, but beleive me if you saw the way the Aussie media glorify any Australian that gets internation recognition (Nicole Kidman is talked about like she is a great actress for example!!!) you would understand why I would have 1% of doubt left
But yeah what you said is pretty much what we hear the US guys like about our soldiers, that they are really down to earth easy going guys in their down time but incredibly proffesional highly trained good quality soldiers when it gets serious, plus unlike the Continental Europeans they will actually join the Americans and English soldiers and deploy to where there are actual bullets flying and where the real fighting is happening
Anyway sorry I know this is a football site so I will get off that point now
Glad you like Aussie BBQ though, in summer here mate the Kitchen doesnt get much work, just go onto the deck fire up the Barbie (aussie slang for the BBQ) and whack on a few chops and snags, its too bloody hot to be inside cooking!!!

Pommylee replied earlier with what Campbell does well...
He throws a good deep ball. He is accurate when he gets time. Rodgers is accurate on the run……Campbell is not. You are right that we would more than likely be better with Aaaron Rodgers……but only if we got him from Green Bay last year. If he would have been here instead of Campbell, which could have happened, I feel he would be the same! He does throw better on the run though…..pretty impressive!
