Joe Bugel is no E. F. Hutton ...

I guess most of us on here remember the old commercial " When E. F. Hutton talks people listen."  It was the commercial were you had people talking about finacial advice and when they would start talking the whole room would stop and listen for some good advice. No matter what they were doing at the time the room would go silent.. Can you imagine the pre draft meetings last year when Joe Bugel spoke the whole meeting room must have kept   on talking.

I know he was the Coach of the HOGGS but now maybe he is  just trying to add to his retirement funds.

Think about it if he was such a respected coach why did he voice his opinion and Management not listen???

Lets just say he thought his O-line was fine the way it was !! If this was the case he really is to old for the job.

If he did voice his opinion and Management did not listen and he is such a great O-line coach why did he not resign ??  Does he not have any respect for himself ?? ( Great Coaches can always find a job)

Either management does not respect him, he lacks self respect or he is senial.

Either way he is no  E. F. Hutton ......

Did you see the second...

half of the Atlanta game? Jim Zorn said Bugel fired up the team at halftime. Seemed like somebody was listening then.
if you’re old enough to remember the E.F. Hutton commercials, you’re old enough to remember Bugel’s other coaching stints.
I hope that I’m in as good a shape as coach Joe when I’m his age, both mentally and physically. I don’t think anybody can say he lacks self-respect or is senile.
Do you really have to ask the question why management doesn’t respect our coaches?
look up the word arrogant, see where you might be able to apply that to the front office; then look up the word delusional, they’re a couple places where that could be applied… But not at coach Joe’s doorstep.

The world looks mighty different when you're peeking out your belly button

E.F. Hutton is NO Joe Bugel....

wow…….put a halfass competent LT in there and what happened? Our line played fantastic compared to the previous 8 games. Now you will prolly take credit for firing Bugel up….haha! Now….if we could just get Campbell to relize he might have some blocking…..we can get the passing game really going. Don’t go crazy on me LJP……I am a Campbell fan…..I think he is still shell shocked from the first half of the season!

I agree ..

JC 17 is still shell shocked hopefully he will be over it at after this game. He did not take a pounding. He now has a clock in his head telling him to throw the ball before three seconds no matter what. He needs to have some faith in his O-line. But hey that is easier said then done we have not been a human pinata this year like he has.

Line backer blitz

One of the sacks that Jason took was on a line backer blitz. I don’t remember Betts blocking on that play. Those 3 sacks were not all on the offensive line.

Bugel finally gives his clue.

" ‘We took kids off the street and they’re playing good ball," he said. "That’s kind of a kudos you always like. You can coach them all-pros, you know what I mean? But you get the guys off the street and they come in and do a good job, then you feel proud walking off the field.’

Bugel readily admits that this has been one of the toughest years of his career."
