“The Redskins issued a news release about 2½ hours before Sunday’s game against the visiting Denver Broncos to say they “revised” their stadium sign policy." – And we don’t have another home game until Dec. 8. Talk about a blatantly strategic move.

I've double checked, just to be sure.... but...

I do believe this will be the worst record the Redskins have had in my lifetime, though there were a couple years just before I was born that were worse. I watched, and fell in love with, the ’Skins under George Allen, and was a big fan by the time I was in High School, when that Sophmore Coach, Joe Gibbs, took a team through the “Playoff Lottery” to win SB17.

We’ve fallen a long way. But we can start to make it right again, with a win today, although I’ll be happy just to be in the game until the last few seconds, if we have to take a “moral” victory.

Go SKINS! Win this game!
Go Danny! And take Vinnie with you.

I dont get it

why isnt the secondary ever ready to play

by Boo. on Nov 15, 2009 1:07 PM EST reply actions

Could Rogers

have looked WORSE?? He looked like a rookie.

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:09 PM EST reply actions

Rinehart?

Is Montgomery hurt? Or are they still undecided there?

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:11 PM EST reply actions

Zorn announced that Rhino would start, then apparently he sucked so bad that it became a battle, but Monty sucked more so Rhino is starting

by Boo. on Nov 15, 2009 1:13 PM EST up reply actions

I’m not a big Betts fan. But I AM glad to see him and Rock in there. We need some fresh faces. I think some of the “starters” are getting too used to status quo.

by Boo. on Nov 15, 2009 1:19 PM EST reply actions

But this is now three quarters of quality Offense. Think about that. Let’s make it 6!

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 1:20 PM EST up reply actions

Isn't it surprising

That we don’t want the D to eff it up because the O is rolling?

his answering machine told me: I am a bad defensive coordinator and would rather spend my time defending Daniel Snyder so A) I don’t get fired for doing a shi*bag job coaching a defense that has been unacceptably underperforming & inconsistent and B) I can kiss Snyder’s ass so I might even get consideration for being promoted from within when the other incompetent leader on this team, Jim Zorn, gets fired and the HC job opens up

Yeah but

Davis was wide open, Campbell didn’t need to throw it that hard and that high.

by bigrm18 on Nov 15, 2009 1:39 PM EST up reply actions

that possession needed to be points

Anyone else surprised that this might be a shootout?

by Boo. on Nov 15, 2009 1:38 PM EST up reply actions

bad throw

but coulda been caught. Good teams make those plays.

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:38 PM EST reply actions

why wouldn't they

just go long to Marshall every time?

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:39 PM EST reply actions

I think we are just going to have Landry

stand at the 5 so he doesnt get beat. After all, he doesnt affect the play anyway

by Boo. on Nov 15, 2009 1:40 PM EST up reply actions

like I said

they need to put him at SS to see if he can play ANYWHERE

by bigrm18 on Nov 15, 2009 1:47 PM EST reply actions

WTF?

Can we let the wideouts be more wide open?

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 1:47 PM EST reply actions

How about #28?

He’d at least be able to catch up to the wideouts with as long as those passes have been….

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 1:50 PM EST up reply actions

The Matador instructor

At least that’s how they’re playing, waving at the Broncos as they go by.

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 1:52 PM EST up reply actions

I wonder

if we’ll try something new this time.

 Like maybe COVERING their wideouts.

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:52 PM EST reply actions

Something like that

Might actually work so I don’t see us doing it.

by bigrm18 on Nov 15, 2009 1:52 PM EST up reply actions

YES

How DO you miss that?

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:55 PM EST reply actions

I don't know

Why they act as if they had to think about it. Moss’ head was nearly taken off… literally.

by bigrm18 on Nov 15, 2009 1:56 PM EST up reply actions

You have the mindset that the Redskins make all the plays

The refs have been VERY one sided this season…. last weeks fiasco of flags at the Redskins, and no bench flag on the Falcons, has sent a wake up from the league that there is an issue with the officiating.

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 1:56 PM EST up reply actions

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 1:58 PM EST reply actions

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 2:01 PM EST reply actions

Who would have thought?

We really, really, miss Horton, it appears.

Gregg Williams

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 2:19 PM EST up reply actions

but they lay some eggs…..they have had more points scored on them than we have this season!

yeah

but we have better players

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 2:20 PM EST up reply actions

by shvd98z24 on Nov 15, 2009 2:19 PM EST up reply actions

that may be

Smoot’s best play ever

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 2:20 PM EST reply actions

Down by three....

But I have to think we’ll at least MATCH our high for the season this game, so the game’s not over by a long shot.

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 2:24 PM EST reply actions

funny how that happens

in both games AFTER we lose our “best players” on offense, huh?

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 2:25 PM EST up reply actions

Not really.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laydODN6xVk

by hibachi on Nov 15, 2009 2:27 PM EST up reply actions

one way to look at it

another way is that the coaching staff, AND Campbell, realize they have to spread the ball around.

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 2:28 PM EST up reply actions

I warned my buddy, the Lions fan, off Clinton in his fantasy league

He thanks me weekly, although he’s got Knowshon Moreno this week….

Not that Portis isn’t a great player, but there’s not much left in the tank I think, with the Oline like this. Now, fix the Oline, and CP might be effective again.

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 2:28 PM EST up reply actions

I just think

we need to let other players make plays. Maybe seeing other guys step up will make the 1’s do the same. I really feel like our “older” guys ave gotten complacent

I mean they have forgotten about the B-Rak hit

ONE THING

THANK GOD FOR YOU GUYS, i’d be screwed just listening to these idiots

SERIOUSLY they still think McDaniels has dropped him to the bench, they are even reciting his stats

Pommylee

by Pommylee on Nov 15, 2009 2:50 PM EST reply actions

but serisously they spent the first half of Denvers 1st drive talking about why MCDaniels would drop him to the bench, expressing dispbelief, going through the stats being preplexed

I hate hearing about how we should have kicked the FG.

I wish we had made it....

With the penalty, they would have pushed us back, and we’d have a tied game.

I guess I'm just lucky to be able to watch the game

I live down here in Virginia Beach; we weren’t scheduled originally to have the electricity restored from the storm until tomorrow, and even until right before it came back on, they had us scheduled as 10 tonight.

So, if anyone else in here is from the Hampton Roads, hope you did well during the storm.

by BillWard on Nov 15, 2009 3:15 PM EST reply actions

No.....

but I think Shaun Alexander is….haha

by shvd98z24 on Nov 15, 2009 3:15 PM EST reply actions

And the ball was behind him. I forgot he was still on the team.

it’s the 4th quarter, and we’re still competing. Let alone in the game

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 3:16 PM EST reply actions

We may be about to take the lead

If the Defense doesn’t let us down, we could win this.

Of course, CJ’s up near DC, so it’s not a close drive for ME, but he could start a game party up there with the rest of you.

Someone must have threatened the o-line because they are holding up surprisingly well.Playcalling is perfection all except for going on the 4th down.Something to be happy about for a change!!!!CP hasn’t played like Betts is all year.

Levi Jones is having a hell of a game…..haven’t heard his name….which is good for an o-lineman

by xXBROLY on Nov 15, 2009 3:38 PM EST reply actions

TO Denver...

We pick this up, and take more time off the clock, we could be in VERY good shape….

Just trying to be optimistic, instead of “Damn, we’re going to blow this, I can feel it coming… it should have been third and one here, instead it’s third and three… we’re not going to pick it up.”

It’s a long Suisham FG at this point, though doable, provided we don’t lose yardage.

you lost to US!!! You all BLOW!!!

JK. I’d love to be 6-3 right now. But the comparison between you all this year and us last year is eery.

by CJHutch on Nov 15, 2009 4:09 PM EST up reply actions

Believe me

We all know how it feels to be 6-2 and then all of a sudden, begin to go downhill. I’d feel sorry for you, but based on the way we’ve played this year, it’s hard for me to do that.

by bigrm18 on Nov 15, 2009 4:21 PM EST up reply actions

Nah you guys are good.

Rak knocking Orton out made a huge difference. We just played a really good game. From blocking to coaching, we finally put it together.

by Boo. on Nov 15, 2009 5:10 PM EST up reply actions

Correct me if I'm wrong

But the game, correct that—>The Winning Game appeared to be more of an Old Style Redskin Smash mouth running game with solid passing then it did a WCO offense. Identity means something, leave the West coast on the Left coast!
