Where is the hate redskin fans ???

OK, people I have a few questions to ask and maybe I can get some answers based on fact not on emotion only !

1. Why did it take some of you guys up until now to realize our offensive line is crap and not Campbell ??

2. When will the people that still think Campbell is crap realize that it is really our offensive line ??

3. If our offensive line is crap and it was pretty average last year as well how is it that our offensive line coach Bugel escapes any criticism ??? ( The million dollar question )

4. As redskin fans if we all know that bringing in a new  qb next year without upgrading the O- line first will be a disaster why are we not screaming that loud and clear??

5.For all of you so called Redskin fans that wanted to bring in Cutler or M. Sanchez aren't you glad we still have Campbell ??

Where’ve you been? I’m in New Jersey and I’ve heard people shouting about fixing the OL from here since at least last season. I only get to watch them in a few games a year, and even with that little exposure I’ve been able to see for years that they’ve been relying on aging, injury prone players and lacking the depth to cover for the inevitable injuries.

Campbell doesn’t deserve near the blame he gets, but neither should he escape the criticism just because the OL stinks out loud. I’m not a Campbell hater, and have even defended him in the past, but I think his time in Washington is about done. Regardless of his potential or what could have been if this that or the other thing were different, it is what it is and he is now just another symptom of the overall sickness prevalent in this team.

For what it’s worth, I think Campbell will serve another team as a capable interim/backup QB.

I agree

CAMPBELL was done a few years ago….He ended his tenure when he went out hurt at the half season mark a few years ago….and Collins stepped in and took them to the playoffs with 5 WINS straight…..Helloooooooo, bringing Campbell back and puting the Collins back on the bench was a hugeeeeeeee slap in the face….

by DaveSW on Nov 16, 2009 8:26 PM EST up reply actions

Here we go

One decent game out of JC and here we go again . All the Campbell defenders back on their horses.

The guy is a bum. The whole time he has been in Washington our offense has sucked. But you people always have someone else to blame. The coaches, the line, the Easter Bunny, whatever comes into your tiny little brains.

I can’t wait to see him sign somewhere else in the offseason. If we had been starting Todd Collins all year we’d have 5 wins right now.

Surely, it’s the o lines fault when Campbell fumbles snaps or when he tosses picks into double coverage. It’s definetly the o lines fault when he misses wide open receivers 15 yards up the field, right? He’s been missing easy throws his entire career. Count how many throws he makes that are accurate… and hit the receiver in stride. Also count the balls that the receivers don’t have a prayer of catching. It’s not even close to being the same number.

After Dallas makes him look like the schmuck he truly is today, I can’t wait to get back on here and see the excuses you guys make up for his piss poor play today. Surely it will be the line, the receivers not running the right routes, the play calling, the Cowboys defense , whatever.

The Bugel question is a good one

I don’t think there’s any way that we can accurately evaluate his role in this unmitigated disaster, but the line makes so many mental mistakes on top of its physical deficiencies that he has got to take some of the blame.

by Boo. on Nov 14, 2009 5:03 PM EST reply actions

That could be true

But Bugel did coach one of the greatest (probably the greatest) O-lines of all time. I doubt that he forgot how to coach an O-line all of a sudden, even though he is getting up there in age. Bugel can only coach what he has, and quite frankly, what he has is pretty much crap.

by bigrm18 on Nov 14, 2009 8:26 PM EST up reply actions

Joe Bugel = Yes Man

I have no respect for Bugel and neither does Redskins management. Think about it this man was the coach of the HOGGS and now he can not even get help from Management.

1. So either he was to much of a pansie to voice his opinion about the teams O-line needs.

2. He voiced his opinion and mangement did not listen.

3. Hey maybe he did not think we had any O-line issues ???

Pick any choice and it shows me signs of a weak person a coach with all of his credentials but no clout ?

Looks like he has no respect from the FRONT OFFICE. We need a O-line coach that will voice his Opinon.

ANY SUGESTIONS ????

by LETJASONPASS on Nov 15, 2009 5:14 AM EST up reply actions

2. He voiced his opinion and mangement did not listen.

If Bugel did do this, as you suggest he could have, how can you fault him or call him a “yes man?”

by bigrm18 on Nov 15, 2009 10:52 AM EST up reply actions

He is still a Redskin coach ...

If he was not a yes man then he would either have gotten his way or moved on . How many years have we neglected our o-line ??

by LETJASONPASS on Nov 16, 2009 9:43 AM EST up reply actions

Because that is what people do????

Get a life, “If the Front office doesn’t do it my way or listen to me I’m going to take my ball and go play somewhere else” Come on!

There’s a difference between “a yes man”, and working with the tools/players provided. And no one here will know that answer. Loyalty to Jason can go too far…he’s not a hall of fame QB

I have seen all this before.,....

trickled into very thread on here! I am a Campbell supporter….so I am with you on that stuff! Everybody on here has been bitching about the o-line for years….in fact….there is like a 110-post thread titled 2010 offensive line on here!

My only problem with this post, besides redundancy, is the Bugel thing! Bugel is one of the most respected coaches in the league….and if you look at our offensive line…..and don’t think ONLY 5 sacks or so a game…..isn’t f***ing legendary…..you are crazy. Don’t forget…..if you are bitching about our OL…..Bugel doesn’t sign and draft these guys and he is never going to go against his owner. He is a Redskin. He has to, and will work with, whatever fat tubs of goo they plop down in front of him! Considering who we have….I find it amazing that Portis still had a shot at 1000 yards……I am shocked Campbell is still on pace for career highs in yards and TDs…..and I find it amazing that Campbell isn’t in traction. I am proud of Bugel and it would take a hell of a lot….like him coming out publicly saying “Danny boy gave me an open wallet to get my OL together this season….and here’s what I have for you…..your 2009 Redskins OL”, to get me to knock what he has done this season, or for the Redskins in general!

by shvd98z24 on Nov 14, 2009 7:20 PM EST reply actions

Admiration and Respect are not the samething ????

The league might respect him but if this team respected him and lets just say he asked for help with the O-line why did he not get it ??

The team admires him for what he did with the “HOGGS” but they definitely do not respect him !!

by LETJASONPASS on Nov 15, 2009 5:20 AM EST up reply actions

so....you are going to evolve your argument......

for any rebuff of your thoughts on Bugel? You are basing your “new” argument on the hypothetical fact of:

lets just say he asked for help with the O-line why did he not get it ??

The team admires him for what he did with the "HOGGS" but they definitely do not respect him !!

What if they didn’t? The bottom line at the end of the day is that he is still just an offensive line coach. He ISN’T the coach, owner, or GM! Acting as if the OL coach has the same pull as the coach or even defensive coordinator is dumb let alone pretending they have conversations that we don’t know they have had to support our argument! Who’s next on your list of people to blame for your unhappiness with the team…..I am gonna go with Danny Smith! Those damned special teams coordinators……it’s always their fault! Maybe he wanted another LB and WR this year for kickoff coverage so we couldn’t go after that magical 5th or 7th round lineman!!!! Someone get the pitchfork and torches!

by shvd98z24 on Nov 15, 2009 8:50 AM EST up reply actions

Good coaches can make chicken salad out of chicken Shi--

How about allowing a real return person to go back and return kicks to start with ???? What happened when Randle el came in to return a punt he allowed the ball to roll by him. Our special teams return teams are bad because we have bad coaching and the wrong players returning kicks.

by LETJASONPASS on Nov 16, 2009 9:47 AM EST up reply actions

False, LJP!

No coach in the world can make a mediocre athlete at this level a superior athlete. What the can do is play to their strengths and not force them to try to do something they cannot. This is true for the O-Line and for JC, neither of whom are suitable for the WCO.

Just like ARE shouldn’t be returning kicks, JC should be allowed to play to the team’s strengths, which is what I saw happen yesterday.

Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

by Scott E on Nov 16, 2009 10:46 AM EST up reply actions

WTF does that have to do with....

Bugel and this thread! As far as the return man……do you think they don’t want production out of the position? The way I hear it is….Thomas has trouble catching in practice….ARE doesn’t. Moss is to valuable to put back there full-time! As far as ARE letting that kick roll…..he couldn’t get to it safely…..he would have probably missed it and the other team would have gotten it. Would you rather WE get the ball on our 15….or the other team gets it on our 25??? It’s easy to sit on the couch and micro-analyze everything…….but there is more to all of it than you give it credit for!

Joe Bugel-Magic man

You have a misunderstanding of Vinny and Daniel Snyder, Redskins owner.
Last year they went and got Jason Taylor, because it appeared to be the best Defensive lineman available after the Redskins suffered 2 season ending injuries, what they did not know is he did not fit into the defensive scheme the Defense was running…Failure.
Bugel takes the players he’s provided and builds the best possible line. Finding one undrafted free agent is amazing but to have an NFL line made completly out of mismatch losers is down right magic.

Jersey is enraged

all of what is said is true. and we here in jersey the few of us there are have been screaming about this. what i want to know is where are the fans down south and why are they still spending money on jerseys and such, thus making it easier for danny sny to just keep the mess going. its not like he is losing money and until his pocket starts to hurt there will be no change

by Fire Vinny Cerrato on Nov 14, 2009 8:36 PM EST reply actions

I'd like to know the answer to these questions as well

Even with us having a good respectable win today I have still seen many people hating on Campbell. There were some Campbell haters that actually realized it was the line but there are still plenty who blame for pretty much everything that goes wrong offensively. I wonder what some of the so called redskins fans actually watch and pay attention to.

by BrandonO on Nov 15, 2009 11:59 PM EST reply actions

Not negative week-Except for Hating Dallas

Campbell was the reason for yesterday’s sacks. Campbell is a good solid “Joe Gibbs QB” and will flourish in that type system. The Redskins are trying to switch to a WCO which I don’t like and is not a good fit for Campbell.

by dr WNC on Nov 16, 2009 9:24 AM EST up reply actions

Yesterday's game

had more of a smashmouth feel to it. Almost all of their passes were longer than 12 yds and they ran the ball right up the gut for excellent yds. Big hits all around, too. Someone is “getting it” in the coaching staff and tailoring the game plan to the players’ strengths.

What the game exposed was some of the frustrating things we’ve seen before with Jason – missing open receivers (Yoder ALL ALONE down field), throwing too high, ahead, or behind receivers. Maybe he was totally surprised they were a)open, b)visible from an upright position?

Jason had a good game and props for that – we need him the rest of this year and for the next several – but he COULD have had a MONSTER game statistically had he been above average in his throwing accuracy.

Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

by Scott E on Nov 16, 2009 10:41 AM EST up reply actions

Jason is still Jason

I thought the game was won by Hunter Smith and Betts. I mean 193 yards is great and all, but lets hold the MVP trophy back for long than one win. This is what happens when you get a running game that beats the blitz.

Just kidden ya’ll. That shit was awsome. Campbell made some good decisions out there Sunday. All Campbell needs to be successful is to have a good running game to take the pressure off his shoulders. How about that damned Hunter Smith. 2 for 2 on TD passes.

The Division is still ours if they can keep that display up… I hate it that I could not watch it. Maybe thats the key. I stay out of the state and the skins win the games.

Campbell As QB - Heck no

Anyone who knows stats and has actually paid attention to detail of “on the field” play while Campbell has been in the QB spot knows Campbell is weak. Campbell has been on the Skins since 2005. He has been slow to learn the offense. He is sluggish, has no heart, no passion, is dorky on his feet, get rattled very easily and has a problem making decisions when a defense is quick or his guys are covered. Campbell only functions well at the QB position when the offensive play is run 100% accurate. Any deviation and he crumbles. His stats are always good in the beginning of the season while defenses are not gelling. When they start to come around, Jason again is a nervous wreck. Collins is a much smarter, calmer and functional QB… Jason is not the QB the Redskins need. I also believe Betts and Cartwright are the better backs…Both can have 100 plus yard games no matter which one you choose. There are many other position changes that need to take place. Since Collins took the Skins into the playoffs, he should have remained the starter until they could get Colt going later on..

HAHA
Campbell has been on the Skins since 2005. He has been slow to learn the offense.

And WHICH offense would that be? First? Second?

SpotieOtieDopalicious

by Rekka on Nov 16, 2009 7:55 PM EST up reply actions

HAHA

I believe Collins had the same ops as Campbell – to learn the different offense schemes. Difference is – Campbell actually played on the field during real games…Collins never left the bench…and never took a snap at practice…Sorry – I lived 5 mins from the practice field in Ashburn for several years – i saw first hand what they did or didnt do in practice…
Campbell has had way more ops than Collins to excel – and hasnt…Collins came in a few years ago- and hadnt taken a snap in 10 years – and ran the offense better in his sleep…Dude – the key players who matter on the Redskins – want Collins – why do you think they are having so much problems right now….the employees are breaking down because they want Campbell out – but have been shut down by Cerrato and Snyder…and they are frustrated…end of story…

by DaveSW on Nov 16, 2009 8:03 PM EST up reply actions

sorry dude

but that playoff right that you’ve mentioned in your other post was put together by the Todd Collins has been under the same Al Saunders system since JC was practically in Pop Warner. And I like TC, but he wasn’t able to get it done when it really mattered in the postseason, so I would get over it if I were you.

He’s the perfect backup quarterback for this team, but not the savior that you so badly want him to be.

Dude – the key players who matter on the Redskins – want Collins – why do you think they are having so much problems right now….the employees are breaking down because they want Campbell out – but have been shut down by Cerrato and Snyder

this just makes no sense, if there is 2 ppl in the Redskins organisation who are anit campbell it is snyderrato, Zorn basically staked his rep on Campbell in the pre-season REPEATEDLY saying that he wants Campbell as his QB and beleives in him and was against the trade attempts, PUBLICLY

And consistently you here from inside the lockerroom, both on and off the record that the players love Jason, and by coming back in TWICE after the battering he took against Atlanta only deepened their respect for him

Sorry dude I must disagree with your premise and your conclusion

Collins looked like a star two years ago because he had been in that same offense for years prior to comming to Washington. Now JC Knows this new Offense better than Collins.
Todd Collins is like the Statue Of Liberty he does not move. Can you imagine if he had played behind our O=line this year?? (lol) He would have been in the hospital by now.

SAY NO TO CAMPBELL

People – why are you gonna stop making excuses for Campbell?

To answer the top posts -
1. The offensive line isnt crap – they are just lazy and are not being pressured to play harder. Nor do some of them have the heart to play harder because of other reasons.
The line was ok a few years ago when Campbell was QB but after game 8 he starts to fall hard when the defenses get more aggressive. Collins had a perfectly good season when Campbell couldnt get out of his own way when the Skins went to the playoffs a few years ago…
2. Even if our line was operating at 100% I would still think Campbell is crap…because he is….Why should it take 4 years – to learn 60% of the offense when Colins learned it in 1 year? Campbell is getting the black boy help me out card – and its rediculous…Colins stats when playing equal time and games is better than Campbell anyday.
3. Bugel escapes criticsm because [ for example Chris Samuels for starters] is a lazy ass. When the boy comes into Clydes after a days practice, and says " oh Im tired " and then plays in the game like hes tired…You cant blame Bugel…Sorry but i ragged Chris a few years ago for this very statement. And asked – Chris, and how much money do you make again???? And what job do you choose? and how many missed blocks do you miss each game?? He didnt say much after that…
4. I will not disagree that the line needs work – but we already have some talent on the team – they just need to get approval to change the Snyder/Cerrato lineup…lol sorry but its true…Chris was a big help getting hurt because it forces Snyder/Cerrato to put someone new in…
5. No im not glad we still have Campbell…Campbell is Snyders [poster child Doug Williams ] wannabe….He will never be a DW…Synders only trying to Cash in on Maryland fan base to make more money since the Ravens lost their Black QB fan base…Snyder is not stupid when it comes to money – only football…The QBs for the Skins should be
1. Collins – starting
2. Colt #2
3. Chad #3

SAY NO TO CAMPBELL

I realize Colt is hurt and Chad is gone now – but this is who should have been on the team. Collins should have been able to finish out has last years starting as he was doing really well when we went to the play offs – this way – finally Collins gets his starting days and possibly finishes a plus for the Skins, while Colt or Chad were being prep’d to take over. Sorry if any of my comments offend someone…Im not racists, I have hung out with several players on the team for many years….and I know the deal…A good majority of players – want Collins as the starter but Cerrato/Snyder wont go for it….I wonder why that is???

Team means all ., everyone. If there is a weak link on the team I will call them out no matter how great the team is doing. <——— me being possitive…. :)

JC as QB

There is nothing anyone has said, can say, or produce as convincing fact that will ever sway me to believe or buy into the belief – of Campbell being the starting QB for the Redskins….I do not agree with it – nor do I think hes the man for the WC Offensive scheme currently being run. So why dont you leave it at that since – you seem to get too bent out of shape and accusing people of not being a Fan – when they have an arguement 180 degrees from your belief system. You say to produce stats and facts of why Collins should be the starting QB? ok I will buy into your argument that Collins did understand the WC Offense…But he hadnt taken a snap in practice with the Skins since being on the team..Campbell got all the practice time…Collins didnt take a snap for 10 YEARS on the field…So the only idiot is YOU and Campbell….When an older guy can come in and run the offense having not taken a Snap on the field in 10 years – and also get them to them Playoffs – thats TALENT…What has Campbell done?? Gibbs was ready to send Campbell packing also – but Snyder and Cerrato wouldnt let him…Hince why he left 1 year early….

where do you get the information

you cant just make statements like that based off a feeling without stating that up front

I.e its my belief that Gibbs left one year early because….

you are not Joe Gibbs so you can not tell us he left for that reason without some proof dude

at least i’m glad you dropped the troubling ‘race’ remarks from that post at least

Redskins Fan

I have been a Redskins fan for 35+ years. I also worked with the team on many occasions on TV for the March of Dimes. My family has been close with the Organization { Pre-Snyder } for years. I am also not a racists. I have eaten dinner , drank shots, beer etc with many of the new talent for the past 8 years. Those accusing me of being a racists – definitely have issues – as you didnt understand the point in the first place. And Secondly – the first racial comment I mentioned about JC being a DW17 wanna be – actually was an assessment of why Snyder has done what hes done all in the name of Profits – not a racially negative statement. Also – the bottomline is the negative charged lack of play and losing is directly being caused by the drama created by certain players – be it right or wrong – they are all black ones…and the drama is killing the Skins on the field. Its the same BS anytime a team has too many and there is no balance…And stop the attacks on me personally – just because you are too chicken sh-it to look at or bring real issues to the table versus [ your blowhard typical sports jockey { so obvious that every sportscaster in the Nation } has already said it ] then shut your pie hole…I have a right to point out my observations like any of you. If you do not agree fine…But dont call me a racists dipshits…Because Im far from it…One of my best friends works for the Skins Organization – {hes also Black} and his comments to me 3 years ago were and I quote " we have too many lazy Ni*&^%s on the team and that is the problem….but you didnt hear this from me " end quote.

by DaveSW on Nov 17, 2009 2:57 PM EST reply actions

still coming across as slightly.....

racist! Just my opinion so don’t hate on me! Boo hoo! The fact is……you are telling us we are chicken shit to bring any real issues here……read the rest of the blog ass-nut! There are 20 guys one here regularly posting new and fresh ideas. Not pumping the same BS you are trying to pump on us. As for us calling you racist…….there is NO reason to bring color into anything about the Redskins. You think JC is only starting because he is black and Snyder is making money off it!!! That’s a racist comment, and you have NOTHING to back it up. Also….the statement “they are all black ones”….again….racist! They are players….nothing to do with color! I also don’t think anyone gives a shit that you hang out with any Skins or were close with the organization…..you think you saying that all of a sudden lends credence to you opinions? I think you will find resistance to your thoughts by 90% of the people on here….which should tell you something! Nobody has come to your defense…..which should tell you something!

No Dude -

Im telling you – YOU ARE CHICKEN SHIT – [ since you are supposed to be so Godly Skins Smart ] because I do not agree with Campbell being the starting QB and personally attacking me as a racists….You damn right Im calling you Chicken Shit – because it was a cowards way out of the defense. I do not see where I have personally attacked anyone commenting here….Not once….Boo Hoo? The only one Boo Hooing are you and others claiming that I am racists….The fact is I have mentioned possiblitities about the organization, players, team etc…dont see where that mentioned YOUR NAMES….BUt I can do that also from now on if you like…I will start personally attacking you and everyone else for your lack of insight, personal opinions, and lame duck BS about How great a Fan you are…while you still use the Campbell is great analogy – while the SKINS GO NO WHERE STILL>>>>

by DaveSW on Nov 17, 2009 3:34 PM EST up reply actions

Bottomline SHVD

I am a HUGE SKINS FAN and I am royally pissed because Snyder, Cerrato and several players and coaches are being forced to contend with slackers and lazy people on the team all because of Sells…..Snyder ties the hands of every coach who comes along – and that do not have the abililty to remove or bench certain players – unless Snyder and or Cerrato approve it….When you get that through your pee brains – then you will start looking at the existing talent which already occupies the Skins team – and search for the winning combination for wins…Until Snyder and Cerrato allow the coaches to pick the right guys and run the team correctly – they will continue to lose….

by DaveSW on Nov 17, 2009 3:39 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah....

we all agree on that…..that doesn’t change the fact that you came across as racist and boring!

by shvd98z24 on Nov 17, 2009 3:47 PM EST up reply actions

It’s simple……there is simply no need to bring color into it at all……if multiple people tell you something…..maybe you need to take a step back and look at yourself. I live in WV…..and if I think you come across as racist……you prolly do to everyone else. There is no reason to bring race into any argument on this board! That is why you are getting attacked! You can use my name all you want, attack me all you want……..the fact is you can’t represent your views in a non-confrontasional way that even come across as semi-lucid let alone non-child like. It’s like gibberish……like I said before…..I read your posts….and feel like I have just wasted 10 mins of my life! Only a chicken-shit can’t admit when he is wrong…..bok bok!

Im telling you – YOU ARE CHICKEN SHIT – [ since you are supposed to be so Godly Skins Smart ] because I do not agree with Campbell being the starting QB and personally attacking me as a racists….You damn right Im calling you Chicken Shit

other than Milky and SHVD having a go at each other (in a fun jestful way) one of the great things about this site is the ppl on here do not stoop to childish name calling, personal attacks, or talk about their ‘inside information’ and ‘friendships with players’ that can not be backed up or proven.

There are many diverse and various views on this site, LetJasonPass has a mancrush on Campbell I am sure,(just fucking with ya LJP) but he backs up all his defense of JC17 with stats, data, and solid arguments, not "i spoke to my good friend Joe Gibbs and he told me JC was a star….. Milky in the other hand wants JC17 gone more than anything else but backs his opinions with stats (about Aaron Rogers most of the time) and his views of the play, not because he is good mates with John Madden and he told him that JC17 is no good

btw I am well aware of the irony of being negative towards your style to make the point to bot personal about things but the point must be made, just go back and read a few pages of historical threads and you will see this site has an adult tone to it and is not like many other childish name calling sports sites on the Web, there are plenty of them that I am sure you would feel more comfortable with

DION SYNDROME

Ever since Snyder BOUGHT [ sorry brought ] Dion Sanders, Bruce Smith and many other free agents [ low producing ] players to the team. The Redskins have been doing jack on the field. Go through every tape, game, practice etc…for the past 10 years – and you will see it time and time, game after game…single play burst, every man for him self – sort of play…very few instances is there any " all for one and one for all" team continuity or even accountability….Each new player is bought with the first thought of " SALES" boosting and hype…Only after Snyder has run the numbers and the bean counters are done – are those players acountable for how they effect the team as a whole.

by DaveSW on Nov 17, 2009 3:15 PM EST reply actions

Case in Point

Snyder brought Clinton Portis to the team – knowing full well ahead of time – that – Denver was getting rid of him based on the fact he was a slacker and causing issues with personnel. Portic was known for taking himself out of plays, not wanting to get hurt, not taking on rushes in fear of getting hit, etc etc.. The only reason he got the yards he did – was based on the O line – and Gibbs being a Head Coach there for more years than others. In my opinion – Rock Cartwright is much better than Portis…At the Dallas game a several years ago…Portis gained some 120+ yds in 2.5 qtrs. That same game – Cartwright gained 130+ yds in 1.5 qtrs. Both Betts and Cartwright have better character, strength, speed, mental and physical toughness that Portis will never have. I prefer Cartwright over Betts because Betts has fumble issues sometimes…But ultimately – I prefer to have both of them in the backfield same times, on each play…like the old Riggo/Washington Combo…

by DaveSW on Nov 17, 2009 3:24 PM EST reply actions

could it be that....

Portis got his in the first 2.5 quarters…..and Cartwright got it in the last 1.5 quarters…..when the defense was wore down? You could make that argument now…..but not “several years ago”!

by shvd98z24 on Nov 17, 2009 3:28 PM EST up reply actions

BS

BS dude – Cartwright has ALWAYS been a better, faster, and stronger runner than Portis…But Cartwright was a no name – Snyders not going to bank on a no name for sells, shirts, and profits…not enough hype.

And tell me when each of those players were acquired on the team…..and who acquired them….and also tell me why they were acquired and who saved them from being axed from the team in their earlier years…If you can do that then I will have respect for you…If you cant…Then really dont care what you say – because everything you comment is a personal attack on me….you comments have no real value.

Fletcher – Brought in by Gregg Williams to run his defense when he came from STL

Doughty – drafted in the 6th round in 06

Smoot – second round in ’01

Cooley – 3rd round in ‘04 (gibbs’ personal pick)

Collins – Saunders brought him here in ’06 BECAUSE HE KNEW HIS SYSTEM LIKE THE BACK OF HIS HAND!!

HB Blades – 07 6th round pick by the skins (future starting MLB)

Goltston – 06’ 6th round

Case in Point ....cont...

Snyder bought many players to the Skins – not because they helped build the organization into a solid better team – but because it yielded more money for him…Everything that Snyder has done is completely ALL FOR SALES AND PROFITS – had nothing to do with how well they would play on the skins team…Like it or not – JC was brought to the team – as a ploy to get Maryland fan base from the Ravens – using the DW 17 /JC 17 deal to make more money for the team…

I also said Collins should be the starting QB….I also won $2000 on Betts getting over 100 yds….I was the only person in the pott who bet that he would from 23 people….I can go on and on and on….

If JC was a...

worthy and good QB…it wouldnt matter if a tire was rolling across the field…The pass would be there….Also – when these guys run their routes…The plays are mostly designed to be in the air before the player gets there….Doesnt matter who going to catch it – so overthrowing a reciever – after 4 years of NFL play is a big problem…

seriously Sugar kevin E and all of the posters on this site have made this the best sports message board on the Web Bar none,

as we never delve into name calling, pretending we have relationships with players and coaches and we all respect the rights of each other to disagree with each other, with once again no racism, name calling, or pretend insider status, like all them ppl on the political sites who when losing arguments claim to be lawyers even though they are 12 years old and in their bedroom,

So

Dont encourage him man otherwise the poison could drag the level of this site down to the level of so many other Message Boards on the Web

not saying I know everything, in fact anyone who reads my posts knows how little I know, but within that little I do know, what I have just written is a fact, keep Hogs Haven beutiful by ignoring the trash, not removing it

JC

I’m on the fence with JC… at times, during the Denver game he played smart football and got the job done. At other times, he completely overthrows his receivers (Santana Moss, which I’ve seen him do a few times) and takes awful sacks where I am yelling at the TV to get rid of the damn ball! I will hesitantly throw my support in for him and see if he can’t get us a few more wins. Now, what I really want to talk about is Ladell Betts running all over Denver! I think he deserves a chance to be the starter for the rest of the season. I used to like Portis but all he does now is run with his head down with both hands on the ball and is satisfied with falling over for three yards. Betts had his head up and ran over people! I can’t wait to see him do it to those sons of bitches in Dallas.

I agree

thats exactly my main issue with Clinton this year, he seems to run with a thought process that says “If I get hit, fall forward so that 2 yard run becomes a 3 yard run” rather than the old CP that I loved who would, just like Adrian Peterson does now, initiate contact and use the collision to propel himself into the gap and explode for 10 or 20 yards………I miss that Portis

Still tho I am not quite ready to dump him as a starter yet, for sure give Betts lots more carries and in fact go to a Running Back by Comittee with CP, Betts and Rock…. I just think Portis has done enough over the years to earn enough credits to keep his starting job, even if it is in name only

For someone who doesn't

often get to watch games, you are quite the observer. However, I think Betts should be named the starter until CP earns his way back. The reason is his work habits are more than suspect and he does not show a lot of leadership by complaining publicly about the O-line, Sellers, etc. His feud with Riggo doesn’t get him any points, either.

If he really has his skillset/mindset in order, he will win the position back and everyone will respect him for it. And we will all be better for it.

Well my job is as an analyst

so I have to be good at extrapolating small amounts of data into larger truths :)

Portis needs to warm the bench .....

CP is the type of player that depends on his athletic ability to get by and not his work ethic he would be a even better player if he worked out. CP is the only running back that I have ever seen that can not run the ball mutiple times on the first drive of the game withour being bent over on the sideline or taking a knee gasping for air. CP walks around looking like he is a expecting a child with his stomache stuck out. Have you guys not noticed that. Hey even Jeome Bettis could carry the load for Pittsburgh for at least a series without going off the field and he was close to 300 lbs and had asthma.
His being out of shape has been a liability. He is always to tired to punch the ball in on the goal line after driving the ball down the field his legs and lungs are always gone. Lets leave Portis on the bench he can get all the rest he wants there !!!!!!
