Stragest QB motivation game ever???
Is this the week that Campbell gets fired up at being sprurned by McDaniels in the pre-season (remember McDaniels prefered ORton to Campbell thats how we avoided getting Cutler and losing all them draft picks) and plays his best game of the year!!!
Lets hope so!!!!!!!!!
my question
Do you think Dumervil will get 24 or 27 sacks this week against our O-Line (btw that is not 2.4 or 2.7 it is TwentyFour of TwentySeven

lmao i can see it now
Campbell is going to unleash his inner dragon in this game to outplay Orton and show McDaniels what really could have been. He will be cursing out everyone who messes up and everything! I’m sure the Bronco’s D will probably get about 6-7 sacks though lol.

Broncos?
Our season is already over, so I’m having a hard time getting excited about the Broncos game, or any other opponent in 2009.
The Broncos are better than we are, so they will probably win. If our offense explodes and scores 17 points, and the Broncos collapse, and only score 16, then we could pull it out.
If I were a Bronco fan, I’d probably take the Skins lightly as an opponent, and enjoy the relatively easy road win.

Well then....
based on your assumptions I am certainly glad (being a NoVa resident) that I chose this game to go to. Of course I bought my tickets pre-season before anyone knew which team would be the better. But I still think you guys have a chance. This is a classic trap game.

I remember hearing
a stat that said teams that play the steelers lose their next game 60%-80% of the time(can’t remember exact stat). I believe it’s because of the physicality of their team but whatever it is it bodes well for the redskins to pull off an upset.

On the upside,
Teams that have Lost to the Broncos this season (excluding those that can’t be helped….YES I MEAN YOU JOKELAND!!!!! oh and the Browns) have gone on to lead their divisions. Dallas, NE, Cinci, and SD even is on a tear since losing to us.
It actually seems to be some magical cure for out of wack teams. Just lost to us and you’ll beat the majorety of the games in the future…….lol.

Welcome to the Party J-man
I think we officially are at the part of our schedule when most of the teams we are playing could possibly look past the Redskins to the next opponent. The Broncos can’t possibly think the Redskins will compete with them this week. That might end up being our biggest asset.

The running game went into Baltimore and then was met at home by Pittsburg.
Two great defenses.

Didn't I read somewhere that opposing team fans can still bring signs?
Or something like that?

UUHHHHH......no.....
Nobody can…….there has even been instances where people have had to remove or turn their shirts inside out! They are saying the sign deal is a safety issue as well as people being able to see the game issue. Unless your signs are made of foam and see-thru….you have the same rules as us!
by shvd98z24 on Nov 14, 2009 8:26 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
so can sharply worded T-shirts take someones eye out too
:)
this signs thing has really gotten to me dude, I actually seriously thought to myself today about whether I was allowed to switch teams, based on the fact I had never attended a game and that I am in all reality sort of supporting Snyder, a man who instituted this signs rule, its just Stalinistic, it speaks ill of his personality on so many levels, just the sheer insecurity of the man, hes a billionaire for f***s sake and his ppl are worried about his feelings getting hurt by nasty T-Shirts and signs….grrrrrrrrr
anyway I decided I had no choice, supporting a team is a lifelong situation, i can just hope for the day he sells

In my humble opinion.....
I don’t like signs at sporting events myself. As you see by some of my comments…when in the wrong mood…..I can sometimes be a d***! I have almost gotten in fights at games because I have paid my hard earned money for tickets and some asshole wants to hold up his “D” and silhouette of a fence sign! I know to some….this is a huge part of the game experience…..as the guy sitting behind them…..it f***ing sucks.
I would like to put a little disclaimer on here….I am not trying to support the Snyder regime and their emotional terrorism they inflict on us fans! I am just stating my personal opinion about the signs at games….it’s like Marge Simpson sitting in front you you!

I hear you do
and if the ban had some into force B4 the Anti-SNyder signs started showing up, then yeah, I would buy that it was a specator friendly motivation for the change, but I just dont buy that was the reason, and the T-SHirt storys sort of prove that the decision was made to protect Snyders fragile ego and not your stadium experience
BUT
You are right, then D then the pic of the Fence signs are annoying and basically any ignorant fan who blocks a fellow fans view in any way is annoying too, so fundamentally its not a bad change
I just hate what motivated it

Most, but not all, fans
will display their signs by hanging them over the front railing or along the back row. These are the people whose “rights” are truly being trampled.
I put rights in quotes, because it’s a private venue and the management/ownership has the say so on these and many other matters we don’t like.
But it does reflect poorly on Snyder and his huge ego/thin skin issues.
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

I agree.....
and I don’t have a problem with signs in general…some are pretty funny……it’s the pricks that think they are breaking new ground and have to wave them around proudly all game in hopes they get on our sh*tty jumbo-tron while schmucks like me are behind them wondering what the charges would be by kicking them down to the bottom of the section!
I also agree with Pommy; I don’t mind the enforcement of the rule….but the timing of them actually enforcing it is troublesome! The shirt thing is just plain bullshi*! I do agree with banning shirts that say anything about Snyder and Cerrato on them…….there are little kids present…..can’t have 1000s of people running around with a pu**y and a c*ck on their shirts!

INteresting theory on the Broncos, strong start and strong second halves
I read this elsewhere and I paraphrase
Elite athletes train at altitude in the months before an Olympics (even Australian Rules Football Club Collingwood has a pre-season training camp anually at altitude in Arizona) to build up stamina and endurance, this means early in the season Denver which not only plays at altitude but does its pre-season there has a fitness advantage even in road games as their cardio-vascualr endurance is superior to their opponents who do not train at altitude. This is most telling in the second half of games, for their home games just going to altitude will harm the endurance of non-altitude trained teams as the thinner air kills teams in the second half. Look at Sth American world Cup qualifying where the big teams like Brazil and Argentina will get thrashed by Bolivia in Away games whereas in home or Neurtral games Brazil is 3 goals the better team, and this happens consistently because of the Alitutde factor
However as the season wears on there is no hard training done in season it is all recovery based so this factor should diminish. Is this a trend for Denver over previous seasons and could this coming back to the field help the SKins???

I was in den in 2001 read my bio the very first post oh mhr i think there is something to that the best thing u have is that we have to go cross courny to play u but idk if u can take adv of our weakness the one thing u have to hope is that orton fores thiging and we look past u because we have SD next week but u have DAL

How did Broncos Fans feel when......
they traded Portis for Champ Bailey? I know there was mixed emotions in DC…..I for one was a huge Champ fan!
by shvd98z24 on Nov 12, 2009 8:33 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
Not too bad. At the moment of the trade, most broncos fans were under the belief that we could plug in anybody and get 2000 yards.
Granted, there were plenty of people who thought Portis was going to be really special for years to come in Denver. However, many were drinking the shanahan koolaid and figured plugging in another RB would be no problem. So, it was a pretty sweet deal for us.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

Portis for Bailey
I liked it. Plus we got a 2nd and used it on Tatum Bell who got us some big plays. Champ for Clinton was about equal, IMO, and worked for both teams (to the detriment of 30 other teams, which is what a good trade should do).
He felt like the man that drew the first circle. Simple, and perfect.

Champ is a better leader on defense than
Portis is for the offense. Big difference there. Plus running backs break down and have shorter careers than D-backs, so we lost out on that end too.
