The Underrated File
There was a post about Lorenzo by Ach that got me thinking, so much time is spent (justifiably I might add) bemoaning the problems with the skins, but all poor seasons in any sport no matter how dire have one positve in that you get to see some of the ppl you may not have thought of much before step up and show they have something
The light amongst the gloom, or the silver linings whatever you wanna call it
So so far in this season of woe, who do ya'll think has improved his standing in the eyes of the fans, who has come out of this whole mess with his reputation enhanced rather than destroyed.
My tip purely from the Eagles game is Rock Carwright, I just loved the way he smashed that guy on the Kick Off return after the TD, it was just awesome, and if he hadnt have done it it may have gone back for 6 so important too
I also like Davis after that game, but that dropped catch annoyed me against Atlanta, isnt there some sort of receiver rule, where if you are surrounder, catch with hands pointing down so that if you do drop it, it goes to the turf not your opponent BUT I HAVE ALREADY BROKEN MY OWN RULE HERE, positive notices only, just for a change, your rebuttal to others choices of course can be negative, but to start a branch of the tree it must be all positive

I agree with Cartwright.....
my personal pick is Orakpo. I know some would argue he is the first rounder……not a surprise……but it is! He wasn’t guaranteed to be a sud and a lot of the comparisons coming out of college was that he was like Gholston for the Jets. He has outproduced Gholston’s season and a half by tenfold in 8 games. Not to mention, our shitty FO…….I was hoping for the best with him but expecting a BUST. He is everything we could have hoped for. Came in as a rookie and learned 2 positions….puts himself above the team….is second on the team in sacks with 5.5! Thats on pace for 11…..not many great pass rushers have gotten 10 sacks their rc year! Very proud of this kid and proud to say he is ours!

Cartwright is nothing new to me, but I agree with Orakpo
and i’m definitely happy he wasn’t just another one of our off-season hype things.
But Rocky has been outstanding this season in my eyes. I was concerned since he just restructured his contract that his play might fall off but he’s busting his ass out there. Just need him to make some more game changing plays now.
Another one is Jason Campbell. Might have some people argue this with me but with everything going on and the line he’s playing behind, he’s impressed me. I’ve never hated on him but I have mad respect for that guy. He’s shown this season that he can come out in the second half and get some things moving, if only our team allowed us to do that throughout the whole game (I still think we would have beat the Chiefs if he wasn’t benched, third quarter is his best and Todd Collins is about as mobile as paraplegic and that is a horrible thing behind our o-line).

Losing respect list
Landry: come on mannnnn. What is he doing? I heard on the radio yesteday that they might move him back to SS? That would be a very smart move but do we really trust Doughty as the FS? Either way, what the hell is up with him.
Hall: I didn’t expect him to be a great cover corner and he has some turnovers, awesome. Learn how to fucking tackle. Wrap up, serisouly, how many times are we going to watch him attempt to tackle someone then get brushed off and abused like he was a 20 dollar hooker in Atlantic city.
Carlos: I don’t expect you to get many turnovers, but i expect lots of PD’s and sure tackling. I did not expect him to be giving up as many TD’s as he has. Anyone know how many he has given up this season? I know he was getting burned at Detroit, that pissed me off. You were our true #1 corner in my eyes, prove it to me, earn your spot for next year and a nice paycheck, if that’s not motivation enough then i don’t know what is.
Rabach: Purely for the Eagles game, what the hell. How long have you been snapping the ball? I still love you though.
and last but not least…..
HUNTER THE PUNTER: You my friend, were supposed to riddle us of this awful situation we’ve been in with punting and holding (according to suisham). You did for a little bit, then you got hurt, then you got hurt again, and now you’re just taking up a roster spot, stretch your shit.
This team needs to go back to the basics, learn the fundamentals of the game.

Kareem Moore would be FS
With Landry at SS.

I thought they were switching them, but what’s up with him? I don’t know much about him.
But thanks for reading my book.

Has to be London Fletcher.
Although I love Rock Cartwright, he doesn’t have the impact on the team nearly to the degree that Fletcher has. He basically defines leadership through action and is currently top 5 in the NFL in tackles. Our defense is by far the best unit on the team and it is, in large part, because of Fletcher.
Hate cliches but: Dude just tackles.
