Live Game Thread: Eagles @ Redskins

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins, Oct 26, 2009 8:30 PM EDT

A big concern of mine is how Sherman Lewis will handle the onslaught of zone blitzes from Eagles Defensive Coordinator, and Jim Johnson pupil, Sean McDermott. With zone blitzes, the middle of the field should have some holes, so hopefully Cooley and Sleepy can see get the ball with some open room.

Notes:

- Levi Jones will most likely be active tonight
- Brian Mitchell will be inducted pre-game into the Ring of Fame

Seriously, can it get any worse? At least we’ll be able to have everyone play their own positions.

by superjuan on Oct 26, 2009 9:19 PM EDT up reply actions

it means that it’s water under the bridge. Arguing about it isn’t going to change the fact that the refs didn’t see it and it went for a TD.

In the three phases of the game: offense gives up turnovers, defense gives up big plays and penalties at bad times, special team gaffes. Even one area of the team steps up the others let them down. No continuity and it starts from the top. Please fire Vinny and get a real GM and talent evaluators!

Ass Kicked

I’m taking bets on draft position…well, I would if I were a gambling man. I’m thinking we’re in line for the No.4 spot behind the Titans, Rams, and Buccaneers. I think the Chiefs and Raiders can maybe win 3 games. The Redskins will not.

We've played 7 games so far,

won 2 of them, and you don’t think we’ll win a single ’nother game all season?

I don't think this has ever happened before. The Redskins suck, yet the (Arizona) Cardinals and (University of Arizona) Wildcats don't.

Hilarious Note at the Tail-End of Yahoo's Review of the Game

The article is here: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap?gid=20091026028

Look at the bottom, at ‘Notes’:

NOTES: Former Redskins kick returner Brian Mitchell was inducted into the stadium’s ring of fame before the game. When he thanked owner Dan Snyder during his speech, fans began to boo. "No, don’t do that," he said. …

Awesome.

Bye week

BYE! Season’s over!

How much you want a bet the redskins will be 2-6 after this week? they won’t play anyone, but they’ll manage to lose. There will definitely be injuries: carpal tunnel or a sprained shoulder for sure

still my team

I have been a redskin fan for over forty years and I will always be a redskin fan.Three weeks ago for my brithday I got to go see the redskins play at home. the first time a had a chance to see my team play. yes there is many things that is wrong but I still love my team. I guess we hope that the skins will be like they were with Gibbs. We were the team back then and they cant take that from us. Go to the games and support our team. I love my team just like a hope you will. Gio skins
