Cerrato just said that Jim Zorn will be Redskins head coach for the rest of the season....Snyder "constantly talks about how disappointed he is for the fans", per Cerrato.

And look
Cerrato on radio: Jim Zorn is head coach “for the rest of this season, and hopefully into the future.”
If or when anything is doen I really hope Snyder does it right.
1. Hire GM
2. Allow GM to hire the coach
3.Snyder and GM allow Head coach to hire coaches
4.GM and Head coach select best players for the system.
—>Until these things occur, then yes there will be no change

Agreed
Especially since Cerrato said he hopes Zorn is here a long time. If nothing changes going into next year I don’t know what I’m going to do.

Cerrato tells bold faced lies without blinking.
If Snyder cared about the fans, well, read my sig
If Dan Snyder cared about anything besides his ego he'd hire a good GM and take a back seat.

Reason for this
See I think that Cerrato wants to fire him but started asking around the locker room and realized that he would have a revolt on his hands if that happened.

Yeah
What he doesn’t realize is they want him gone.

I don't think the players want Zorn gone
I think Zorn is popular with the players. He’s definitely not a hard ass and he is a good communicator. I think the players sincerely believe that they are not executing. The rumblings we hear about are the players wanting ownership to commit to Zorn and to take accountability for the talent on the team. Obviously we can’t know for sure, but I’d say this was the right thing to do for the lockeroom.

COMPLETE IGNORANCE is what it is.
This franchise is lower than low. Thanks be to Vinny and Dan, the new religion of the Washington Redskins. Here’s to the next 30 years of bliss.

Danny and Vinny....
figured out that they can’t do a “Kiffin” on Zorn without it costing Snyder millions. They found out that they can’t hire a coach mid-season, and finally, I think the players are sticking up for Zorn and there will be even more demise going forward. So they opted for the easiest way out – do nothing until the end of the season.

Horny for Zorny!
Good to hear, if only for the fact that the drama factor will be reduced for the rest of this season.
Cerrato and Zorn’s fates are tied, if the impossible happens and the Redskins become a playoff contender, it would be hard to argue that a change is needed, even though we know that the team is built on quicksand. If, more likely, things continue to fall apart on the field, they’ll both be gone, and no one will blame Snyder for doing it.
Remember people, last year we were all begging Snyder to giver the Jim Zorn Era a fighting chance and not impatiently pull the plug if things started going bad. Well they are going bad now, but is it necessarily Zorn’s fault? Yes, he can’t get timeouts or challenges right. Yes, he refuses to game plan for (what we believe to be) the team’s strengths. But look what he has been given: the worse O-Line in the league and offensive weapons that are overrated and/or underskilled.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I like Jim Zorn. I like his honesty and his enthusiasm and his readiness to take chances. I think he can be successful. But unfortunately the odds are strongly against being able to patch the hole on the Titanic when its already halfway sunk.

Snyder is not responding to pleas for stability.
He just can’t find a replacement mid-season. Otherwise, why didn’t he speak up weeks ago with his “vote of confidence.” He couldn’t because he was on the phone to Shanahan.

Good point
I also think Snyder and Vinny are not acting as a single entity here. Snyder courting Shanny goes against Vinny as much as it does Zorn.
Vinny is doing everything he can to salvage the season (even if it is something completely retarded like giving playcalling authority to a consultant), because he knows if he can’t he’ll be out on the street.

Do you believe this though?
A lot of times the confidence statement from management is the kiss of death. I think that if the Skins lose to the Iggles (yes I said if, gimmie a break, I’m an optimist), Zorn will still be very nervous to answer any phone calls from the Danny

More Quotes from Cerrato...
http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/redskins/2009/oct/23/vinny-rants/
*(On Largent). “Maybe his friend thought he was protecting Jim. His friend forgets this — we were a top five defense and had been to the playoffs (before Zorn’s hiring). In Jim’s contract, he controls everything over his staff. The thing about it is, his friend doesn’t mention, Jim worked with all these coaches for a week prior to becoming the head coach and he said during the interview, ‘I want those guys.’ And then the comment about Sherm Lewis really upsets me. You don’t forget all the things you learn over 20-some years in the same offense.”

Cerrato is a menace to society
[Zorn] controls everything over his staff.
