Shanahan Turned Down Skins

http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/10/19/sources-mike-shanahan-turned-down-redskins-coaching-job/?ncid=txtlnkusspor00000002

I'm sure this makes Zorn's week better!  I guess he is still open to coming at the end of the season. Does this make Shanahan the front runner?

"Shanahan told the franchise there was little he could do in the middle of the season for them and that changing coaches during the season in the NFL rarely works,'' a Redskins management source told FanHouse. "Several people that Dan Snyder trusts have suggested, if he makes a move, he should turn it over to secondary coach Jerry Gray. That could still happen.

Turned Downed?

English is not your first language is it?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

They would just say they interviewed Sherm or Jerry Gray first!

I see

I didn’t know that. Does it matter who the interim coach is at this point? Who would want the job then?

Lavar said he turned it down b/c he's likely going to Dallas

Either way, by waiting til the end of the year, Shanahan can start a bidding war.

I heard same thing

That danny boy had tried to get Shanahan before preseason & then just a couple of weeks ago, But Shanahan wanted to wait till end of season & see what BETTER job was up for offer (DALLAS), because what coach in ther right mind would come to coach us ?? Well apart from getting overpaid for the job, but if they do manage to get a HC, i hope & pray that he has full say over the team & is able to get a competant GM, as vinny should be the 1st person fired & they may as well keep the good/repectable players & clear out the ones that are not fit enough to play for once proud team or even wear our jersey… soz for the rant..lol

No coach will be happy with Danny boy pulling the reins.

He just needs to except that his only involvment needs to be the signing of the checks.

I’m sure he would. Who the hell would want to come in in the middle of the season anyways?
