Vote for Dan Snyder.

For worst sports owner in history!

I know this a no-brainer for most Skins Fans, but thought I'd put some justification behind it anyway because after all, there is Al Davis.

Why Dan is #1:

  • The Coaching: Five coaches in 10 seasons.
  • The Front Office (aka Vinny):
  • The Contracts!:  Stubblefield, Neon Deion, Smith, Archuleta, Lloyd, Haynesworth, Hall, etc....
  • Suing the fans!
  • The parking prices.
  • The added seats with obstructed views.
  • The crappy concessions at Fedex Field.
  • The concession (especially the Beer) prices.
  • Taking advantage of the "best" fans in football.
  • Making one of the proudest franchises into a laughingstock around the nation.
  • Sucking up to Tom Cruise
  • Giving Skins the notoriety of the First team in NFL history to charge admission to its preseason practices
  • etc...

Yes, Al Davis is bad but he's also senile. So please evoke your rights under the constitution of the United States of America and vote for Dan today.

Thank you.

Nicely done geofly

I liked the list…I’d like to use it for ammo in the near future if that’s okay.

Feel free Sugar

Naturally being a local, the candidate list is heavy-up on regional detestable owners, so if you can think of others who are deserving, feel free to again.

Some adds may be needed

like Lying to the fans and letting go or firing excellent coaches.

“I hope Gregg Williams and all the rest of the coaches stay with us for many many years. We hope to have them here for a very long time. " – Dan Snyder

I hate defending Al Davis

but the truth is that once upon a time he had championship winning teams and Snyder can’t say that.

So true and that's why I think Dannyboy deserves your vote.

Early polls are in

and Snyder is leading with 72% of the votes. Democracy in action!

Polls are still open

and Dannyboy (the Pygmy genius) is still leading with a commanding 67% of the vote.

Voters are coming out in record numbers

73%!

Looks like a landlside victory is in store for Dannyboy.

Danny wins by a landlside!

All districts have reported in. No hanging chads….. just hanging Redskin fans.

Pete Angelos, the Angel of Orioles death is a distant second closely followed by Cowturd owner Jerry Jones.

Most of us don't live in DC

MD and VA are much bigger. Not sure DC folks should vote for Pres either. After all, look who they voted in for mayor for 16 yrs. Google Marion Barry and crack cocaine and you’ll see what I mean. Cheers!

"The Night Owl" is still on the public payroll (DC city council).

Arrested this year for stalking. When mayor, he took his entire entourage and several prostitutes on weeklong excursions to the Bahamas in a private jet all expenses paid by the bankrupt DC city gov’t He directed over $1M of city money to nonprofits under his control, bought crack cocaine and hookers with public funds, drunk driving, tax evasion, etc…

Despite all that, MB’s quotes are the best!:
“The contagious people of Washington have stood firm against diversity during this long period of increment weather.”,
“Bitch set me up.”,
“If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very very low crime rate.”,
“What right does Congress have to go around making laws just because they deem it necessary?”
“I am clearly more popular than Reagan. I am in my third term. Where’s Reagan? Gone after two!
“The laws in this city are clearly racist. All laws are racist. The law of gravity is racist.”
“First, it was not a strip bar, it was an erotic club. And second, what can I say? I’m a night owl.” — M. Barry

Wow

there is obviously some bias on this poll. Dan Snyder isn’t the greatest owner but at least he’s made decisions that be believes will benefit the organization, even though most of them have been poor. Can’t say the same for Peter Angelos who completely dismantled the O’s farm system and wouldn’t put a dime into the organization. Snyder didn’t pick the best coach in Zorn, but at least Zorn is a respectable person unlike Cable from the Raiders. The Redskins have been competitive within league and are playing in one of the toughest divisions in the league, but the Clippers havn’t had back to back winning seasons since i believe the 70’s. All in all, Snyder is NOT the worst owner, just one of the worst.

Say it isn’t so!

by GeoFly on Oct 20, 2009 4:31 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree on Angelos though. That's why he's on the list.

I grew up idolizing the Orioles. I sat on Brooks Robinson’s lap while he signed my bat, ball and glove when I was in little league. I hate Angelos with every fiber in my body. But he’s old news and I’m more tied to DC teams as an adult. So, yes, I’m biased as hell. Viva Democracy!

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

by GeoFly on Oct 20, 2009 4:36 PM EDT up reply actions

There is hope for O's fans though

Angelos is 80 yrs old. So factor the “hopeless” quotient into the comparison too.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

by GeoFly on Oct 20, 2009 4:47 PM EDT up reply actions

but

I don’t care about any of those other teams!

Biased? Maybe just a wee bit…

by aFan4Life on Oct 21, 2009 8:01 AM EDT up reply actions

baseball fans would disagree

Angelos provides stiff competition for the Danny if you’re an O’s fan. And seeing how Danny is blowing the Angel of Baseball Death out of the water, it helps prove the point.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

I voted for Angelos

But honestly, I think Sterling has to take the cake from Snyder… Sterling never had a franchise and has no desire for success.

by BDBrian on Oct 20, 2009 6:05 PM EDT reply actions

yeah, I equate Angelos with

a pile of rotten old fish. And as an O’s fan, I too feel the pain. Thank god he’s old though. Skins fans on the other hand most likely have 40 years of Snyder to look forward to.

interesting….must be some Cowturd fans lurking about.

by GeoFly on Oct 20, 2009 8:01 PM EDT reply actions

sorry but I had to go Sterling, just for his lounge lizard appearance

Plus I think its Harsh to Put Hall and Haynesworth on his bad FA list, I think both are doing OK at the moment, maybe not on a output per dollar basis, but the facts are especialyl with haynesworth others wanted him so we had to bid high to get him

so if u forget the contract and focus purely on performance I think hes doing really well, this time last year we didnt have any pass rush, now we do

That wasn't the point

The point was bad contracts. They may be doing OK, but we are handcuffed with those contracts unless the cap goes away. Also, money would have been better spent on the O-line which was a glaring problem even before Samuels went down.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

by GeoFly on Oct 29, 2009 10:41 PM EDT up reply actions

catn argue with that really

we spent the 100 million on the wrong line thats for sure

but still its not Haynesworth fault he was paid that much and he is doing his part is all I meant, fair enough criticise the decision to hire him, but I think its unfair to criticise him (not saying you were criticising him by the way)

Pommylee

by Pommylee on Oct 29, 2009 11:32 PM EDT up reply actions

yes and, I think big Al is great

just not worth the Cap hit or getting him instead of 3 or 4 O-line guys.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

i’m glad the capitals are good again. between snyder, angelos, and michael jordan, washington dc is turning into a black hole of team ownership

Jordan?

What does Jordan own in DC? Thought Abe gave him the boot years ago.
