Black Out

Hey guys,

I just created a group on facebook to help promote wearing black to redskins games to show our disgust in ownership. I'm hoping that by doing so we can get the word out alot faster and help with "The Revolution" of changing the way this teams front office operates. if you have a facebook account, please join the group and suggest to other friends that are fans to join as well. With Kevin's permission i would like to post links directing the facebook viewers to Hog Havens articles regarding "The Revolution"

You can search for the Group named Redskins BlackOut and it is open to the public so feel free to join and Post but remember this is a support the team hate the owner so no team bashing!

I can explain

there’s this prevailing thought in the sports world that our teams play to our opponents. so with the iggles being a “good” team, we (subconsciously) exoect the team to be good as well. after watching the Raiders D-Line not even give the courtesy of a reach around to the Iggles’ o-line, it’s not hard to imagine.

me too. Were you also thinking maybe there will be a bad (or GOOD) storm, and the Dannycopter would go down over the Potomac? Maybe he would wash ashore on some abandoned riverbed where he could listen to the team on the radio while it improves dramatically in his absence.

Everyone was saying there was no way in hell the Raiders would beat the Iggles either. I’m not saying we’re necessarily going to win, but all I’m saying is that you never know.

this being a divisional game, I was thinking we just may have a chance. I mean, Zorn IS 2-0 against the Iggles, right? But I figure all that went out the window when the Philthy Eagles got embarrassed by the Raiders. You see, good teams have the pride to rebound after a tough loss. Also, they have players who MAKE SURE they don’t lose to a bad team two weeks in a row.

you think that we can been the Eagles this monday night. I am starting to think that we Redskins fans are suffering from some sort of manic depressive disorder where, even when we lose to winless teams week after week, we somehow convince ourselves that we might score a touchdown or maybe, maybe beat a team like the Eagles…we image that we actually have players that give a shit and a coach that has balls, a GM who knows how to build a NFL franchise and an owner who knows how to but out…

if you really want to get wise, just stop going to the games altogether. Why even bother going in the first place? So you go wearing black, and spend a fortune on beer, food, merchandise, parking, and tickets. OOH. I am sure that will get Dan Snyder to change his ways. Stay home and make a real statement.

so it would be wise to throw them out or sell them to an eagles fan? But don’t worry i won’t be buying anything inside the stadium and I am not parking so besides the ticket (which was a wedding gift) I will not put a dime in snyders pocket

I’ll defer to Ken on this one since he’s spear-heading his own “Revolution” idealogy. I know he was pushing the arm bands. I can’t imagine what Fedex will look like the last couple home games. Imagine if everyone skipped the game…that would be classic.

And the best thing is, because the tickets would have already been sold, there cant be a blackout. So we can still watch (for those of us who havnt completely given up) and send a message at the same time
