Million Fan March

Let me begin by apologizing. I know everyone, including myself, hates redundant posts. But I am kind of doing it here anyway, piggy-backing a little off of Sugar's Revolution post, which I admit is a lot more reasonable. Not to mention plausible.

Anyway, I sometimes cheat on Hogs Haven with a group of jackasses in an ongoing email thread. Well, today, one of said jackasses sent an question to the group essentially asking if he was wrong for supporting a Snyder boycott. As I wrote my response, I found my emotions snowballing from melancholy to rage. I also realized it was equally relevant on this site, since many of you probably have similar feelings, while a (seemingly) small faction simply don't understand what the rest of us are so upset about. So I have copied my message here, and feel free to throw confetti or tomatoes at it.

The Redskins have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. When I was on my ship in the Navy, we would get the wire reports of the game summaries and boxscores 2 or 3 days after the game sometimes, and I was just as excited about reading that half page of small, semi-coherent print as I ever was about plopping on the couch on game day. I remember sitting on the floor at my grandmothers house, when my age was still in the single digits, 15-20 family members strewn about the living room, ready to watch the game on her IMMENSE 25 inch Zenith.

Personally, I can't imagine NOT following this team.

But, thanks to that pompous pigmy, I have begun to imagine not getting excited for the start of September. And for that, I would gladly cheer for his head on a spear, BraveHeart style. So, anyone up for a Million Fan March, decked out in full hunting party regalia, carrying signs baring various messages such as the New Logo, to "Fire Vinny", "Sell the Team", and "Hey Dan, would you kindly JUMP OFF A BRIDGE?"
