Around SBN: Knicks 90, Raptors 87: "Shump and Lin wouldn't let us lose."

Wow. I mean. Wow. As stressful as Sundays have been, I'm kind of having fun with this now. It's definitely easing the pain.

"You're a great guy, Vin, but you're no GM."
"Zorn, you too are not a football coach. High School? For sure."

Wow indeed

Gotta love a straight shooter. Especially when it’s John Riggins. I wish you could embed that video right to our front page. And then email it directly to Snyderrato.

Awesome

No matter how badly average fans like us want to force change for this organization, none of what we say or do is as powerful as these comments coming from someone like Riggins.

Lot’s of people are going to see this. It’s probably going to get some sports media attention. We can talk about wearing bags or boycotting or whatever. It won’t make much difference. But videos like this will humiliate.

Maybe that’s the way we can get some change. Why not lobby some of the Redskins legends to intervene. An online petition with thousands of names on it would probably be enough to rally a group of old players. What if a group of respected veterans were calling for the heads of Snyder and Cerrato. That would be something that couldn’t be ignored.

Also, I disagree with Riggins that Zorn would be a good high school coach. He is probably a great positions coach, maybe OC in the NFL. But he is not a leader. A real coach can inspire and get a team fired up. Hip Hip Hoorays don’t cut it.

I heard this

on the Junkies this morning, so I’m already up to speed on the content, which is dead on and obviously nothing new. I agree completely with everything he says, though I think he has an axe to grind. Not that I care, I’m just glad someone other than the fans is saying it. Hopefully he will get on TV somewhere and repeat these same sentiments.

NOW, all that said, does anyone else think Riggo has aged a TON since last year? I haven’t seen him since last season, and he looks a whole lot thinner. I know he’s up there in years, but he seems to have aged 10 years in one offseason.

Pretty much spot on

I agree with everything Riggo said. I’m hoping that more former Redskin players will end up saying the same thing. I honestly think the only people that Snyder would listen to is former players, specifically players like Monk, Green, Grimm (future head coach?). I guess all we can do is hope for the best.
