Our Offense is Soft...

We used to be a Run First “PUNCH YOU IN THE MOUTH” set up the play action to our speedster Moss type of offense. Now we’ve gone soft, our RB is beat up constantly, our line can’t gain an inch and the big receivers that we brought in to turn this into a pass happy offense aren’t physical! Look at the teams that have the most success with passing, they all have a big physical receiver, we have Fred Davis a TE that would rather run track than lower his shoulder and run over a defensive back, Devin Thomas that can’t catch a ball if a defender lays a finger on him and Malcolm Kelly who has shown a spark here and there but can’t get the separation needed to be an every down receiver in this league.

what I wanna do after the jump.

Star-divide

I want Marko Mitchell activated, I know he’s not a polished receiver and doesn’t have the timing of the routes down but I believe that if we get him the ball in these extended hand offs we’ve been running he will show how physical he can be and could provide a sense of urgency and heart that this offense desperately needs to get going. Now I know it’s a stretch but when players don’t contribute on other teams, guess what, they get benched and their spot is given to a hungry guy on the bench… MARKO MITCHELL IS STARVING. Get him active this Sunday get him on the field for more than 10 plays and get him the ball a few times see what he can do and light a fire under DT and MK. He may not be the answer but we’ve played the rest of our cards and haven’t gotten anywhere why not give him a shot.

OL is the problem

not the WR’s. But I’m ok with giving any of the WR’s a chance so long as they can get open in 2 seconds or less.

I agree

O-Line is the number 2 problem on the team (front office being #1 of course) but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement in other area’s as well

Worth a shot

Marko would provide a big receiver with great hands, but Jason still needs the O-line to give him time to get Marko the ball.
