About being a Redskins fan
Hail to the Redskins!!!!
Let me tell you a little something about being a 'Skins fan; I have been following the Washington Redskins since 1952, yes, that's right 1952! I used to sit on Grandpa Garner's knee and watch the Redskins play on radio in Landover Maryland (grandpa Garner didn't have a TV and I don't think television carried football back then).
Anyway, I have been with the Redskins all but 3 years of my whole life. I've experienced all the heartbreak that any football fan could ever experience, but, I've remained a true blue 'Skins fan. I've been laughed at, heckled at, the brunt of negative jokes, but I still remain true to the Redskins.
I lived in the Washington DC area all my life until 1994 when I began my journey into the southern regions. I now reside just a little bit north of Tampa Bay where I still get laughed at for being a Redskins fan.
I long for the days when Joe Gibbs turned a rag-tag bunch of men into a mighty team; a team to be reckoned with. But, that is a fond memory of the past. Still, all is not what some think it is. One day that mighty team will become mighty again.
Dan Snyder, get off your butt, open that wallet and buy some real talent. You have too many slackers on the football team. Get out there and find another Charley Taylor or Darrell Green, or Joe Theisman, bring back the heyday of the Hoggs!

sorry Rev
Snyder opening his wallet to buy talent won’t solve a thing. in fact, that is part of the definition of his problem.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
22 years on deck
I'm to young to Die Danny...don't make me do it tomorrow....
36 years and counting...
Ditto GeoFly, though. The wallet thing is a decade into it and past its useful life. Need to get the right coach and the right management all working together with Danny sitting back in quiet bemusement as we rock toward a winning program.
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
that would be nice...but
I think it has as much chance happening as North Korea and Iran both giving up their nukes on the same weekend.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
Pain
I thought this post would be about enduring pain, after all it’s been 17 years of mediocrity. :P
