New Blog: Sounder At Heart for Seattle Sounders Fans!

The New Guys...

So much thanks to Will for everything he's done for this blog. I appreciate the opportunity to pick up from here. To give you a brief background on us, Ken (sugar) and I (ebag) will be providing you with everything fit to print for the Skins.  Ken has been a Skins season ticket holder for 10 years, and I have been picking up his extra ticket for the last five. Last season started off strong with an 8-person road trip to Canton for the Monk/Green Hall of Fame inductions. We also made the trip up I-95 for the Ravens game, and I happened to be in San Fran for the Skins/Niners game.   We created the Ahern Inquirer 2+ years ago, and have moved here full-time for to cover the Redskins. Having said that, here's what you can expect from us:

ebag - I like to post a lot of articles based on stats. When I make opinions, I like to have facts to back them up (unlike Jason La Canfora and sugar). I am generally very critical of the Skins office given our history of signings and draft picks. I also like to cover what the players do off-field since I see them out quite often living in Chinatown.  I welcome all criticism as I don't claim to be omniscient, just opinionated.

sugar -  I can best describe myself—especially in terms of what kind of fan I am—as delusionally optimistic. Some things to know about where I stand: I believe the game is won and lost on the line of scrimmage and that is precisely where we are losing our games (stunner); I believe in using the words ‘we’ and ‘us’ when talking about my team; I stopped making excuses for Snyder and Cerrato in 2004; I believe Clinton Portis is going to the Hall of Fame; I forgave Champ Bailey for leaving the team 2 seconds after he left; I believe JC is our man at QB; Jim Zorn has all the makings to be a coach in this league for a heck of a long time, and I sure hope it is here. I’ll be serving up some fresh Kool-Aid regularly and ebag will be regularly harassing me for it.

so which of you is more Czabe and which of you is more Andy “Poli”?
or are you more like Kornheiser and Wilbon?
Abbott and Costello?

anyway, welcome again!

Thanks

Yea, none of us are like Kornheiser and if you ever think we say things that are, please bash us! I certainly have zero intention of ever praising Favre or Tom Brady.

Thanks

Jeff,
I love Czaban. I try not to the throw around the word ‘hate’ too much, except when talking about the Cowgirls, Iggles, Giants, and the occasional rant on why network TV insists on running reruns every other week during what should otherwise be a season of uninterrupted new episodes (deep breath, put the bottle of whiskey down). But Andy Pollin really bothers me. A lot. Looking forward to mixing it up with real Skins fans on the Haven.

Czabe

I’m a transplant from MA living in the DC area and I love Czabe and Andy both – mostly because they play off each other so well. The Sports Reporters are a good go-to option on my commute home. I’m not even a Skins fan but somehow they make me care. I now know more about the Skins than the Pats (kinda sad, but true).
