How Bout' the Special Teams?
Special teams were great today. Take out the pop-up kickoff and they pretty much did everything well. Randle-el did a good job turning poor field position into so-so field position on several punt returns, the kickoff coverage was out of this world good, and hell, durant brooks didn't even give us anything to gripe about. I swear, as we set up for the field goal to put us up 26-17 I had a terrible vision of Brooks screwing up the hold, but he came through. They all deserve major props.

Special teams was solid...
Suisham had me scared he was gonna miss an easy one but he managed to pull through. The one thing that is really bothering me though is where are Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly yet? We’re four games into the season and we really haven’t seen either of them yet. Sure, Kelly has been hurt but I would think they could have fixed him up since he’s been hurting for about 2 months now…
Is it possible we could have gotten two busts with our picks???
calm down
with santana moss going for 145 and clinton portis topping the century mark as well, there arent too many stats to go around, so the lack of numbers doesnt bother so much. remember, we’d all be singing a different tune if thomas’ td last week hadnt been called back. rookie wrs generally struggle. eddie royal and desean jackson are exceptions, not rules. i would say 4 weeks is far too short a time to label someone a bust, although kelly’s injury does concern me a bit.
First year Recievers
Not much the Redskins will get out of second round rookies, both appear to be coming along fine and should be good additions to the future of the Redskins, late this year and following…
Thomas has been on the field...
and like joshp said, if not for a penalty…
Kelly and Fred Davis should be of more concern.
Yes, I am a nerd.
I'm actually pretty surprised
that Davis hasn’t been more involved in the offense. I know from watching him in the Pac-10 that he was a BEAST of a pass catcher in college.

Green Bay is unhappy
Not to rain on anyone in particular, but when a decision is made which backfires it is always brought up, however when a decision is made which works it seems to never be revisted.
Frost appears to be back to his past form…Millwaukee Journal Sentinel
Frost’s gross average for 19 punts is 44.9. He has three touchbacks and merely one punt inside the 20.
Didn’t the Redskins have 2 punts inside the 20 this game alone?
to be fair
we sounded the same way a week or two ago about brooks. but to his credit he really turned it around
Im not saying I expect much out of WR rookies but the fact that we’re not even seeing them on the field is dissapointing. The reason you invest two picks on WRs is because you hope 1 of them pans out since good WRs are so hard to find. So far, none of them have given me any reason to believe they will have an impact in years to come…
Thomas has been on the field,
and nearly had his first TD last week.
Kelly’s injured, so it’s understandable that he wouldn’t be out there.
WRs typically don’t REALLY start to contribute until their 2nd year.

I love how everyone's response is...
WRs dont contribute until their 2nd year. Thanks, I get that. I’m not trying to sound like a dbag, im just wondering what’s going on with Malcolm Kelly and why hasn’t he made any progress from the injury we were hearing about 2 months ago…
Better question
is have they resolved the issues that Zorn was talking about early on regarding Kelly showing up to camp unprepared?
I’m with hibachi. There is something very unsettling about the fact we haven’t seen more from our WRs. I haven’t forgotten Taylor Jacobs.
He HAS made progress.
IIRC, Kelly’s expected to practice this saturday.
