People I'm worried
DE Jason Taylor probably wont play against the Giants this Thursday and as Coach Zorn said, we'd rather have him for 15 games rather then 1. Our defense is pretty solid so this isn't my main concern.
What really scares the piss out of me is our situation at wideout. For some reason no one really seems to be concerend that ARE has a broken bone in his hand. My sourses tell me that hands are important to the position of wide recever. Yesterday the Redskins Insider ran a blogpost on how ARE is expected to start. Expected gee I hope so! Say he does play, we can only effectively run 3WR sets. Malcolm Kelly is 2 weeks away and there are concerens that Devin Thomas is afraid of contact. Both are a long ways away from contibuting to the offense. Anyone think that Zorn might run some sort of 2TE 2WR set with either Cooley or Fred Davis lined up wide?
Are we to think that Jason Campbell's bad play is due to poor O-line performance or struggling to pick up the WCO? I'd guess not having enough time to throw is the culprit...that is also what I'm hoping for. Campbell's INT last week was dissected by the master of chalk talk, John Madden. During the play Jason had Cooley open on a 5-7yd over the middle throw, Campbell decided to throw a deeper pass into coverage that got tipped and picked. I'm sure Coach Zorn and Campbell had quality time in the film room after that.
Most of my worries are on the offensive side of the ball. How do you guys feel?

Concerned but it seems to be in control
WCO aside the Washington Redskins will play old style Redskin ball…RUN! Two top flight backs in Portis and Betts.
The passing game is a little behind but from an article on The Offficial site of the Washington Redskins Gary Fitzgerald quoted Zorn:
With Kelly unlikely to play in Thursday’s regular season opener against the New York Giants, the Redskins are expected to dress just four wide receivers: Randle El, Santana Moss, James Thrash and Thomas.
On Sunday, Zorn said the presence of tight end Chris Cooley gives him more options in the passing game.
Cooley can line up as a wide receiver in some sets, Zorn said.
"When you don’t have a wide receiver available to you, the tight end becomes more prominent," Zorn said. "We’re carrying three tight ends on the roster. That’s part of carrying Cooley into a game and allowing him to be a receiver as well as a blocker.

We're getting thin at WR
no doubt, which is especially frustrating since we devoted two first-day draft picks just to make sure we wouldn’t be… precisely where we are.

5 is Thin but by choice
Only Rostering (I think that’s a new word) 5 WR, 2 of which have zero NFL experience does make a thin group, but it is by design, lets hope the coach knows what he’s doing.

I'm worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only one case left- Barney Gumble

3 wide
lining up with cooley or davis in the slot is the same as running a 3 wr set. we know cooley is as capable of lining up there as any wr, as for davis, maybe maybe not. it is strange to only have kept 5 wrs on the roster, but it probably had something to do with the fact that we kept 3 tes, 2 of whom are almost strictly pass catchers

I'm Scared
Your not alone, everyone I spoke with is afraid the Skins offense is hurtin…Campbell is taking way too much time and can’t find his rhythem…the O-line has not showed up the last two preseason games…let’s hope this is just a flook and the real Skins show up on Thursday night.

I'm with you
and the sad thing is that even if we had somehow traded for Ocho Cinco in the off-season (the favorite rumor of the intertubes), we’d be dealing with an injured wide receiver anyways.

I'm hoping we are all wrong
and these guys blow the doors off tonight. I’m just doubtful.
I hope Clinton got a good nights sleep, because I have a feeling it’s going to be a lot of Campbell turning and handing the ball off.
