Inventing a Quarterback Crisis
Yes, I know. "Firstgameofthepreseasonandplayingagainstthesecondandthirdstringdefenses." But, putting that aside, Colt Brennan was masterful.
To put Brennan's numbers (9-10 for 123 and 2 TDs) into perspective, here's the box score of Jason Campbell's first preseason game. Ouch.
Entirely to create controvery where there is none, I say... Colt, lock and load!

But damn
Colt does look good. I like the patience on the touchdown pass, he throws that too soon and the corner gets there with the ball, probably breaking it up.

It's the ugliest, most bizarre
delivery that I’ve ever seen. It’s somewhere between a Bernie Kosar side-arm and a shot-put. He looks like a T-Rex with little arms whipping it around.
But man—nice frickin’ ball! I really enjoyed watching him in college. Hope he doesn’t get the Jake Plummer treatment and find his confidence disintegrating in like a sand castle at the beach.
You may think no controversy exists here, but if Brennan has some exciting pinch-hit performances or JC gets hurt, you may indeed have a full-fledged controversy on your hands.
As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

so what
if Colt was shredding scrubs-the guys on his side are no all-pros either. A man amongst boys. I still wanna see him against a first-team D. however, he did look like the next sixth-round QB to achieve success/greatness. JC did look vastly improved i must admit…Zorn is sooooo awesome!

Jason Campbell's first game
Entered the game in the fourth quarter, went 10/19 for 132 yards and one interception.
Apparently Campbell had trouble ‘shredding scrubs.’

Don't blow up his head now!
I’ll admit, Brennan threw some nice balls on sunday night, but a few of the balls could have easily been intercepted by a better player.
With that said, its nice to know we have some quality quarterback depth in a division where pass rush and pass defense has been greatly improved.
