NFL Fox Predicts Redskins to Win Superbowl

Preseason rankings, the Redskins are not at the top but historically...

Star-divide

Super Bowl foes top offseason Power Rankings by Peter Schrager, Special to FOXSports.com.

Ok! so the Redskins are not on top of the off-season Power Rankings per Peter Schrager, They are not even picked to win the division but are given a good solid review.

10 — Washington: Everyone's talking about Philly, New York and Dallas in the NFC East, but it's Washington that returns 21 starters from last year's NFC wild-card team. Add in six-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor from Miami, free agent Erasmus James from Minnesota and gritty safety Stuart Schweigert — and a hit-or-miss defense from a year ago suddenly becomes one of the league's most dynamic. On offense, Jim Zorn brings a new offense and a new philosophy, and the bevy of new receiving options selected in April's draft give Jason Campbell some receivers above six feet to pass to. Want to talk sleeper NFC champion contenders? Look no further than the 202. Camp: Ashburn, Va.

History tends to repeat itself, as we enter the Hurricane season with Dolly tracking toward Texas and Mexico the news reports are about what is currently occuring and how it compares with history.  Why because history repeats it's self.

With that in mind, History repeating the New England Patriots are the number one team in the preseason rankings, which make them the most likely candidate for the AFC champion and Superbowl entrant from the AFC.  As noted before this is as much of a key to the Washington Redskins seasons success as Jason Taylor, LaRon Laundry, and Andre Carter, Jason Campbell or Clinton Portis.

Every year inwhich the Washington Redskins won a Superbowl following the NY Giants win they played the same team, That will carry even more importance when it happens this year, because the last meeting of Washington and New England will be the excessive "Spanking" which New England gave Washington last year when they played a regular season game.  Talk about sweet revenge.

Back to the Rankings, even as the number 10 team per Mr. Schrager has both New York and Dallas ranked ahead of the Redskins in the NFC EAST, like every year we will need to take care of business within our own Division to have the success required to make the Superbowl run.

An Historical perspective to a unique Redskin year, go read the review it's pretty good overall.

It's gonna happen

New England Quarterback all excited about not having to face Jason Taylor, the words will come back to haunt him early in 2009.
News topics are aligning as well

Beyond his downtime, Brady was quizzed on a number of topics – including the threat of his team facing a Super Bowl hangover, his record-setting receiving corps a year later and how he felt about no longer having to face division foe and personal terror Jason Taylor on a regular basis.

The latter query drew the best out of Brady, who claimed he and left tackle Matt Light [stats] threw a celebration upon learning the news his pal Taylor had been traded from Miami to Washington.

"I think Light and I popped a cold beer when I saw the transaction," Brady said. "We were the two most excited players in the NFL. We were hugging each other. That was awesome."
