Redskins Sign Thomas to Rookie Contract..Pete Schmitt we hardly knew thee...
From the Official Site:
The Redskins have signed rookie wide receiver Devin Thomas, the team's top selection in last April's NFL Draft. Thomas was at Redskins Park on Friday morning, along with his agent Drew Rosenhaus, to sign the contract. It is a four-year deal, the team has announced. To make room for Thomas on the roster, the Redskins released fullback Pete Schmitt.
While this is great news for the Redskins, Skin Patrol might spend his evening in the fetal position with some box wine. Thomas will earn a max of $4.8 million in his deal, with $2.75 million as his signing bonus. TE Fred Davis remains the only Skins draft pick unsigned, but has been working out at Redskins Park and the team has been confident all along that it would get all picks signed before practice begins Sunday (players report Saturday).
Redskins football is just right around the corner people!!!!!
