New SBN format

I'm putting this in the diaries because it has nothing to do with football, the Redskins, or the general area. But Viva El Birdos has the new SBN format up an running, so go check it out when you get a chance. It seems interesting enough. And for the record, if I knew another site to send you to, I would. I can't stand the Cardinals. SP knows why.

If you go to the "Welcome to the new Viva El Birdos and SB Nation" post, it explains a lot of the new features and such. I'm a big fan of the stats / roster / news tabs at the top.

Anyway, just thought it was worth mentioning. Let us know what you think.

My experience

is that anytime you try and change something dramatically, the initial reaction is overwhelmingly negative. That said, there are some huge changes forthcoming to this site, and they are all positive. The features mentioned will make this space far more interactive for reader(s), which SBN -- and I agree with them -- takes to be the strength of this blogging platform.

Because my blog sucks we'll have to wait a bit longer to upgrade to the new format, but I absolutely cannot wait. It should be good times.

the comments section is entirely too slow for me to be excited about the avatars or any new features that are apart of it. I can't stand extra codes in a website that make it too slow for me to do anything with.

I assume

it was running that slow due to the volume of comments in that post, though I'm not sure. I agree with you that fast, easy commenting is more important than, for instance, avatars.

I am hoping we won't have that problem here, though will do everything in my power to make sure we don't.

switched over. I'm now fully prepaired for avatars, extra codes, and other things technical that are beyond me.

to pass the time I've been watching "Americas Game" the Redskin collection...over and over and over...

To be serious though, it's an AMAZING production and a must buy for any Skins fan!

Looking foward to schooling my friend (avid yet confused reader of blogging the boys)on how Sammy Baugh is one of the best QB's eva...he thinks the NFL started in '69. I'll learn him some Redskins knowlege..oh yes..I'll learn him some Redskins knowlege
