I have about a million questions.

1. why did we wait so long? Free agency starts in 19 days. Jim Zorn has a lot of roster reviewing to do.
   
2. Who is this guy
   
3. Who is our next OC? Hopefully someone with a lot of experience... but everybody's taken already. Could it be... Jim Fassel? That would be funny.
   
4. Is Jim Zorn really better than Gregg Williams?

I think it's pretty safe to say that all of us have little to no clue about this guy, seeing as he was not exactly a national sports figure until about 12 hours ago. Everything we've heard since his hire was that he deserved promotion (at least to OC) and that players really like him. Ok, that's nice. But can he call a game? He did a great job with Hasselbeck, but he's running an offense with Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, etc... Can he handle an entire team? He's gonna have to.

I don't feel confident about Greg Blache for some reason, but for some even crazier reason feel alright about the Zorn hire. He's not a hotshot young guy like Lane Kiffin -- he's 55 and has had success (albeit, never as a HC) wherever he went. Mike Holmgren's former QB Coaches include Andy Reid, Jon Gruden, and Steve Marriuci... they all turned out alright. Hopefully Jim Zorn is our answer. I don't worry too much about his promotion, but I do worry about him being handed the keys to a team with really high expectations (we were 9-7 last year and gave Zorn's Seahawks a true game in the playoffs) and being told to succeed. However, maybe some new blood is exactly what we need. He's a better choice than Fassel, I think, and Meeks was pretty unimpressive to me. Mariucci was a compelling hire, but may have just gotten lucky in SF with Young/Garcia/Rice/Owens, etc.

We may have gotten a good man for this job... for some reason, I feel alright about him. But it's a different feeling from when we hired Joe Gibbs, that's for sure.

Let's hope we have a responsible approach to the offseason and that we can keep Shawn Springs...

And maybe trade for Chad Johnson!!!
