Jason Campbell or Colt Brennan? the question rises again!
I personally hate saying this but its time for Colt at Qb if we lose another game. Yes I know that JC had a good start to the year and injuries are killing us but just look at it this way, JC is only worth a little under 800,000$ in 2009 and 2010 is a free agent so giving the rookie a shot would give us two things a cheap chance to see what Colt can offer, and a big piece of humble pie for JC. Just remember last year JC got hurt TC came in and boom 4 in a row and playoffs, so its not so far fetched! Dont get me wrong I've been a JC supporter since he replaced the washed up Brunnel so it hurts me to say all this but why not see what the younger QB can do before we pay JC anymore money?

Agreed
Colt the bolt! Let him play! I mean, what do we have to lose?

Colt is what we have to lose.
Use your head. The O Line is in shambles. Now is not the time to bring in the rook.

+1
Brunell wasn’t even a reason to bring in Campbell. Brennan is not good enough right now.

Too True,
but there is a temptation to lunge for any spark on offense at this point in the season.
Colt has played with shaky o-lines in the past (not just in the Sugar Bowl), moves well laterally, and tends to throw accurately when on the move. He also has the fire. All of which this offense could use.
It would be a bad idea, but the temptation remains.

The spark on offense
needs to come from Jim Zorn’s play calling.
He needs to get back to running a good offensive game flow, something that he did when we were winning earlier in the season. Get some play action in there, some roll outs for Campbell (something that he was very good at that we haven’t seen lately), and some better plays to convert 3rd downs. And get some 3rd and 1’s and 2’s instead of 3rd and 8’s!

campbell
campbell has earned the right to at least finish out the season. if he struggles, then we can talk about a quarterback controversy in the offseason.
i dont understand the fascination with colt. hes a sixth round pick. he hasnt taken a regular season snap. if youre looking to spark the offense, downgrading at the quarterback position is not the answer. im sorry to all you colt supporters, but you cant deny that going from a quarterback with almost 2 years starting experience whos had some success to a sixth round rookie whos never taken a snap is a downgrade, no matter how many touchdowns he threw in the WAC.

I'm from
Hawaii, which explains my own fascination with Colt. He also was tearing it up in the preseason, which may explain others’ fascination with Colt.
Campbell has absolutely earned the right to finish out the season and start next season as the incumbent QB coming into training camp, barring an absolute meltdown on his part through the next three games.

Can Colt Brennan pass-protect himself or run block for Clinton Portis?
No? Then stick with Jason Campbell and retool the O-line.

awsome
i agree with most of you guys thats why i said if we keep losing throw him in there so we can see what Colt does in “real game” situation! and that whole “rookie” statement just look at Forte, Stewart, Peterson (last year), Johnson, and Matt Ryan all of them rookies and killing it in there position!

Your logic is flawed.
Seriously flawed. You rattle off the names of 3 rookie RBs, some dude named Johnson, and 1 rookie QB, all of whom DO NOT play behind the Washington Redskins Offensive Line, as evidence that Colt Brennan would excel as a rookie QB for the Washington Redskins.
And somehow I was still shocked to see that the results of this poll are favoring Colt.

Everyone's favorite player:
the backup QB. Or, in this case, the unknown 3rd stringer. And that’s because no one would ever vote for Todd Collins.
Ever.
Yes, I am a nerd.

Um, seriously....
you’d think that people would recognize that there’s a REASON that Atlanta leads the league in rushing nearly every year…. and it’s not the RB. (Or Michael Vick)

Some dud named Johnson!
That “dude” is Cris Johnson RB for tennessee Titans who only has 1100 yrds and 8 tds running behind lendale White who has 675 yrds and 14 tds. So the rookie out shined a vet! Just like Cris Horton did to Reed Doughty , and look at 49ers they have a horrible o-line how many times did JT O’solivan get sacked in his 8 games like 30, he gets benched and look how Shaun Hill is doing! So my logic is anything but flawed you can have the worst protection but still have success! and yes some of the rookies mentioned have it kinda easy but still as rookies your not expected to move mountains your first year.
