Best Redskins Games Ever???

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the site but love what I see so far and can't wait to get more involved.

A question for you though- If you were to think back over the past 30 years or so of Redskins football, which individual games stick out most in your minds?  Things like huge comebacks, miraculous wins, crazy things that happened in the stands, SuperBowls, conference championships,  blunder type games (Leon Lett type things)?

Thanks guys!!  Just trying to get some insight into what makes the Skins so special to so many of us!!

Easy for me.

I was in Abilene, Texas…the only Redskins fan in a cigar club full of Dallas fans. You wouldnt believe the amount of shit talking I endured from those bastards.

It became even worse when we were down two scores with two minutes to play and our team looked abysmal up to that point. Then out of nowhere, Mark Brunell throws two of the prettiest passes I ever saw him throw right past, in my opinion, one of the most overrated safeties of this generation Roy Williams and right into the hands of Santana Moss.

I cussed out/spat upon/gave the suck it sign to so many Cowboys fans that night. That was by far my favorite game. I’d imagine that one will get some other votes too.

Welcome mjy!

I have to agree.

If we’re talking about games I witnessed, that was it, I’m young and it’s the first one that comes to mind. It seemed so hopeless that I was receiving text messages from my Cowboys friends who were essentially already calling the game (and some were going to bed). Boom. Bang. Booya.

Go register. Or else.

And I'm not young

But I don’t know if I remember a more satisfying game, where all hope is lost then BANG…Redskins win!
Lot’s of superbowl games, and great wins during the 80s but the games were dominate wins or losses, the Cowgirls going down after everyone thought they had won is one of the best.

I was so mad at them

That I turned the game. I honestly didn’t see the ending until I saw it later. I would usually watch ESPN in the morning and that’s where I saw the score. I thought I was dillusional when I first saw it though because I couldn’t believe it. Then I went to school and everybody was talking about it. I was so surpsrised and couldn’t believe that we came back. Another game I remember is week 9 of 2006 against none other than the Cowgirls. All Dallas had to do was score a 35 yard field goal with 6 seconds to go and the game would be over. However the field goal was blocked and Sean Taylor (RIP) ran it back to set up a 47 yard field goal, AFTER there was a 15 yard penalty for grabbing the facemask on Dallas. I just knew that game was over too! At least I thought it was. ANOTHER game I remember watching was when we destroyed the Cowgirls 35-7! I was so pissed when we let Dallas score. I sure wish I was in Dallas to see their faces and to rub it in that day.
