Open Gameday Thread: Redskins @ Colts 4:15 PM Eastern
This is Your Washington Redskins Open Gameday thread.
Most of the nation will be watching this game; check out the broadcast map here.
Check out the official gameplan (warning: plenty of typos) here.
Gameday previews here and here.
Here's the weather report, not that it matters because the game is inside a dome.
Redskins injury report:
Dockery, Derrick Probable Hip
Griffin, Cornelius Questionable Hip
Marshall, Lemar Probable Ankle
Patten, David Probable Thigh
Rogers, Carlos Out Thumb
Salave'a, Joe Probable Calf
Sellers, Mike Probable Elbow
Springs, Shawn Probable Groin
Washington, Marcus Probable Hip
Everyone could play but Carlos Rogers. The Griff probably won't play.
Colts injury report. They pretty much list everyone on their team because the Colts consider hangnails and menstral cramps to be "game time decisions". I'll spare you the gruesome details.

First of all
Second, why run to the outside on a very small and quick defense? Portis needs to be pounding the inside, even with big Booger there.

Moss and ARe for 15 yards
by TexSkins on Oct 22, 2006 5:23 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Both were totally unnecessary...
You keep giving the Colts free yards and it will come back to hurt the Skins.

I guess they will kick the FG.

Redskins 14-Colts 13
The story of the first half so far has been the horrid play of the Colts' kick coverages.

This is probably the best case scenario
The Skins need to shore up the defense, but good luck against a (presumably) healthy Manning.
More rushing up the middle is needed. It opened up the passing game and gave Burnell time to throw downfield.
Looks to be a good game.

Ummm...
Arm-tackling Addai WON'T work.
by TexSkins on Oct 22, 2006 6:02 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
TD Harrison!
If the Colts kick coverage could TACKLE, this would be a blowout.

Rumph and Archuleta torched for a TD
Addai is running wild.
This looks like the turning point in the game. If the Skins don't respond on this drive, the game might be over... or might turn into a blowout.

My point about the kicking game...
Oh, and ARE and Lloyd fighting on the sideline... Great job guys. Why not use some of that energy on the field.
The Skins just look like an undisiplined team. The Miami of the NFL (well, next to Oakland, but at least they're winning today.)

Looks like Booger helped the run defense...
Need work on Kick returns, especially on punts.
Based on what I saw today, no reason for Addai not to be the starter.
All in all, great performance from the Colts...
